On March 21, 2026, at about 5:11 PM in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, operatives of the Bukidnon Provincial Cyber Response Team (PCRT) conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 31-year-old woman, alias "Jessie," for offering and engaging in unauthorized dental services.

"Jessie" is facing charges for violation of Section 33(a) of RA No. 9484 (Philippine Dental Act of 2007) in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), lauded the operatives for their swift and effective action. He reminded the public to exercise caution when seeking services online, emphasizing, โ€œThese illegal activities put lives at risk. The PNP ACG will continue to intensify operations against individuals who exploit online platforms to offer unauthorized and unsafe services.โ€

On March 18 and 19, 2026, the operatives of the Digital Forensic Unit (DFU) and Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11 (RACU 11) rendered technical assistance to the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) in their two separate implementations of the Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) in Quezon City and Davao City for online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, which resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male suspect.

The digital forensic examiner of RACU 11 conducted an onsite digital forensic examination on the mobile phone owned by the suspect that resulted in the discovery of several CSAEMs, thereby placing him under arrest.

On the other hand, digital devices of the subjected individuals were seized and will be subjected to offsite digital forensic examination.

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the unit for their prompt response to the request for technical assistance. He stated, โ€œThe PNP ACG fully supports other police units and partner agencies and remains ready to provide assistance in pursuing perpetrators and strengthening efforts to eliminate criminals who exploit cyberspace for their illegal activities.โ€

On March 18, 2026, at about 3:20 PM in La Trinidad, Benguet, operatives of the Baguio City Cyber Response Team conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man, alias "Neri," for the online sale of a chainsaw without proper permits.

"Neri" is facing charges for violation of Section 7(a) of RA No. 9175 (Chainsaw Act of 2002) in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful operation. โ€œThe sale and use of chainsaws are strictly regulated under the law to prevent illegal logging and environmental harm. The PNP ACG continuously monitors and acts against those who violate these regulations, especially through online platforms,โ€ he said.
