The Sangguniang Barangay of Bariw, headed by Punong Barangay Isabelita E. Capus, extends sincere appreciation to Engr. Arvin Zaballa for addressing our concerns regarding frequent power interruptions caused by an overloaded transformer.

A formal request has been submitted for either the installation of an additional transformer or the upgrade/replacement of the existing unit, to ensure a stable power supply for our community.

We hope that this concern will be acted upon promptly to resolve the problem in our barangay.

A young arnis athlete from 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗧𝗡𝗛𝗦) delivered an outstanding performance at the Philippine Eskrima Kali-Arnis Federation (PEKAF) Luzon Qualifying Tournament 2026, earning one gold and one bronze medal in the prestigious regional competition held in Tagaytay City from January 16 to 17, 2026.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗼, representing the Tabaco City Arnis Team and hailing from 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘄, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗼, 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆, showcased exceptional skill and discipline in both traditional and combative categories. He captured the 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹🏅in the Individual Traditional Anyo event and added a 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹🥉in the highly competitive Live Stick Competition.

Buencido’s impressive showing 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 that will compete in the upcoming Arnis Battle of Champions scheduled for March 2026. His achievement highlights not only his personal dedication and rigorous training but also the growing strength of Tabaco City’s arnis program and the continued excellence of Albayano athletes on the National stage.

School officials, coaches, and local sports supporters expressed pride in Buencido’s success, noting that his accomplishments serve as an inspiration to young athletes and a testament to the rich martial arts heritage of the Philippines.
