The Alpha Kappa Rho โ€“ Feldspar Chapter of Malilipot, Albay, in partnership with Sen. Risa Hontiveros, conducted a Psychosocial Intervention Activity at the Malilipot Tent City for internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by the Mayon unrest.

โ€œThis is part of Alpha Kappa Rho's humanitarian action, through which we conduct activities that help internally displaced personsโ€”especially childrenโ€”express their feelings, relieve stress, and cope with their present situation,โ€ said Sir Victor, one of the organizers.

As part of the psychosocial intervention, a clown facilitated interactive games, magic tricks, and other fun-filled activities that encouraged children to laugh, actively participate, and temporarily forget their worries. The activity created a light and supportive atmosphere within the evacuation site, promoting emotional well-being among both children and adults. Water and hot meals were also distributed to the internally displaced persons (IDPs), alongside with the psychosocial activities

โ€œNag-enjoy man po so mga aki, maski so mga gurang ta nahali so pagal,โ€ shared Ate Rovelyn, an IDP.
(โ€œThe children really enjoyed it, and even the elders felt relieved from their exhaustion.

Note: Parentsโ€™ consent for the children was secured prior to posting and documentation.

Explain the difference between "Good Touch" and "Bad Touch" in a way they can understand.
โœ…No Secrets Policy โ€“ Ipamulat sa kanila na "Surprises are okay, but secrets are not."
โœ…Open Communicationโ€“ Be their safe space.
Letโ€™s create a safer world for our kids, one conversation at a time. ๐Ÿ’™
