IN PHOTOS: A Joint Opening Ceremony of CADRE Training CL 02-2023, CAA-I Basic Military Training CL 161 to 166-2023 and CAA-II Basic Military Training CL 20-2023 was held at Headquarters 4th Division (Mentor) Training School, 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, Camp Osito D Bahian, Brgy 10, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon with PCOL JOVIT LONTAC CULAWAY, Officer-In-Charge of Bukidnon Police Provincial Office as Guest of Honor and Speaker of the said course.

He mentioned that as they advance as leaders, they should anticipate to encounter many chances and challenges as they develop as Cadres for their individual patrol bases. When leading their subordinates, especially the CAAs, be the best version of yourself. Furthermore, being a member of the CAA already carries some duty. Remember their duty to the nation and its citizens as civilian volunteers; the training they get will become their own tool and source of strength.

Joint Opening Ceremony of the Urban Combat Training and Observe Fire Procedure Training

The 4th Division (Mentor) Training School conducted a joint Opening Ceremony of Urban Combat Training and Observe Fire Procedure Training. The Urban Combat Training is composed of 49 students; 41 of this came from the combat support units of 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, while eight (8) are from Philippine National Police of Bukidnon. The Observe Fire Procedure Training on the other hand is composed of 30 students; two (2) from the Reservist Personnel of Bancasi Butuan City and 28 from the combat support unit of 4ID. The ceremony took place at Camp Osito D Bahian, Brgy 10, Malaybalay City Bukidnon on 10 November 2023.

The Urban Combat Training aims to develop the skills of the students in the conduct of urban operations. Meanwhile Observe Fire Procedure students will be able to Know how to perform the OFP. Explain the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Support Team and the Observer. Identify the target location and Perform the CFF, OFP in urban terrain, and OFP with the use of ISR.

The training was graced by HON TEODORO ROTEO T PEPITO, Vice Mayor of Valencia City Bukidnon as Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message he mentioned his thanks and heartfelt gratitude in behalf of his family and the provincial governor of Bukidnon for their valuable service to the nation, the reason why the populace sleep soundly at night. He stated that "This training is an opportunity for you to prosper your knowledge base and improve your skills and become more productive in pursuit to the remaining remnants of the communist’s terrorists’ group and to finally end insurgency. Maximize your time during your stay here and internalize all the necessary knowledge and skills you can acquire during the training. Once again thank you and Good luck to all of you”, he mentioned.

A total of One Hundred Eighteen (118) new soldiers successfully completed their Basic Military Training (BMT) on 20 October 2023.

The 118 young soldiers of the Candidate Soldier Course Class 782-2023 “LAGABLAB” (LAYUNIN AY GAGAMPANAN BAYANING LALABAN PARA SA BAYAN) have undergone rigorous and tremendous military training for 16 weeks.

The leadership award for instilling discipline and leading the class in all its endeavors. was given to Candidate Soldier John Prim Baclayo PA, the class president.

While topping the class were CS Lance Orvin A Lamar, CS Junel A Figura, and CS Rafael T Ricaplaza having a general average of 95.61%, 95.14% and 95.13% respectively.

Candidate Soldier Dave C Dizon was also awarded the Top Gun Award for obtaining the highest rating in the Basic Marksmanship Record Firing with a general average of 94.20%.

While CS Eddie O Pastrano received the Physical Proficiency Award for obtaining an average of 98.67% in their Physical Fitness Test.

MAJOR GENERAL CUERPO II, the Commander of 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, graced the momentous occasion of CSC 782-2023 as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and reminded and emphasized to the young soldiers to always follow legal orders and to continuously aim for excellence. The 4th Division (Mentor) Training School conducted a 14-day Heliborne Airmobile Operations Training (HAOT), with a total 45 students; 41 of this came from the combat support units of 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, while 4 students are from Philippine National Police of Bukidnon. The training took place at Camp Osito D Bahian, Brgy 10, Malaybalay City Bukidnon from 05 to 19 October 2023.

This training aimed to Relate the requirements for Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques Operations; Perform towering Training Operations; and Perform the Helicopter Rope Suspension Technique Operations.

During the training, the students were equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the conduct of Heliborne/Airmobile Operations Training in both Urban and Jungle environments.

The training was formally closed with Master Sergeant Metodio N Bigornia, the school first Sergeant, as the keynote speaker. He urged the students to share their knowledge with their fellow troopers for the improvement of the unit in terms of Heliborne Airmobile Operations activities.

COMPLETION CEREMONY | COMPUTER LITERACY TRAINING FOR MILITARY STUDENTS: A CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

76 candidate soldiers of the 4th Division (Mentor) Training School, 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army received their Certificate of Completion today, October 18, 2023, during their Completion Ceremony for the Computer Literacy Training for Military Students at 4DTS, Camp Osito D. Bahian, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
This collaborative partnership between BukSU- Secondary School Laboratory and the 4th Division (Mentor) Training School, 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army stands as a testament of the 4th Division (MENTOR) Training School in its quest of Building a Culture of Excellence as it is guided by the Army Core Values of Honor Patriotism Duty.
This celebration is not just the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new chapter for the 76 Candidate Soldiers of CSC 782-2023. The ceremony is a culmination of the countless efforts they have exerted and displayed along the training of being abreast with the digital age.

SSL partners with the 4th Division Mentor Training School, 4th Infantry Diamond Division, Philippine Army
In its commitment to showcasing university’s thrust for functional and relevant projects, linkages and services implemented through continuing education and capacity development, SSL with the guidance of the Extension Unit, eventually implemented its extension project.
The SSL’s extension project, “Computer Literacy Training for Military Students: A Capability Development Project” started its implementation yesterday, September 17, 2023, with an Opening Program followed by lectures and workshops of Topic 1 – Basic Computer Operations and Topic 2- Microsoft Word Processing.
Present in the event were the SSL faculty extensionists led by the Department Head/Project Leader, Ms. Desiree A. Barroso and the trainees/students led by LTC MANUEL B ESTANILLA MI (GSC) Philippine Army and other officials of the group.
This noteworthy collaboration of SSL and the Philippine Army demonstrates the fulfillment of extension’s goal to effectively and efficiently deliver practical, relevant and responsive extension programs to improve quality of life.
Heartfelt thanks to the administration for the approval to implement the project and to everyone concerned in realizing this important undertaking; BukSU Administration, Extension Unit, ICTU, SSL and the 4th Division Mentor Training School, 4th Infantry Diamond Division, Philippine Army.
