From January to March, communities across the Philippines participate in Operation Timbang (OPT) Plus, the annual, nationwide program for children aged 0โ€“59 months. Led by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) with Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) at the forefront together with other local nutrition and health workers, the OPT Plus involves weighing and measuring children to assess their nutritional status.

The program identifies children who are underweight, stunted, wasted, or overweight/obese, providing reliable data for evidence-based planning and guiding local nutrition and health interventions. Beyond data, OPT Plus strengthens community awareness and participation, ensuring every child has the chance to grow healthy and strong.

Letโ€™s support OPT Plus and work together for a well-nourished, healthier future for our children!๐Ÿ’š
