𝗕𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗙𝗟 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝟰𝟬 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

The Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) – Korean of Bukidnon National High School (BNHS) successfully rented out forty (40) sets of hanbok, the traditional Korean attire, to students of San Isidro College as part of its student-led income-generating initiative.

The rental service was carefully organized by the SPFL Korean teachers and students. The hanbok were well received by the San Isidro College students who wore the traditional attire during their cultural activity, adding authenticity and cultural value to their event.

Through initiatives like this, BNHS SPFL-K continues to promote global cultural awareness and provide meaningful opportunities for learners to grow as responsible and culturally competent individuals.

Special thanks are extended to Ma’am Lovella, Ma’am Belinda, and Ma’am Jigg for their invaluable efforts in ensuring the smooth preparation, coordination, and successful implementation of the hanbok rental initiative.

Lumagda ng memorandum of understanding ang Department of Education (Philippines) at Ministry of Education (South Korea) para sa pagpapatuloy ng pagtuturo ng wikang Korean sa ilang pampublikong high school sa Pilipinas, bilang bahagi ng pinalakas na kooperasyong pang-edukasyon ng dalawang bansa.

Pinangunahan ang pagpirma ng kasunduan nina Secretary Sonny Angara at ROK Minister of Education Choi Kyo-Jin sa isang seremonya sa Malacañang Palace na dinaluhan nina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Pangulong Lee Jae Myung.

Layunin ng programa na palakasin ang kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral sa mga dayuhang wika upang maging mas handa sa mga oportunidad sa pandaigdigang trabaho. Bahagi ito ng Special Program in Foreign Language na inilunsad ng DepEd noong 2009 na nag-aalok ng Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Chinese, at Korean.

Sa school year 2024–2025, ipinatupad ang SPFL-Korean sa 69 pampublikong high school sa 13 rehiyon, kung saan 4,810 mag-aaral at 168 g**o ang sumailalim sa pagsasanay sa wikang Korean. Patuloy na tututukan ng kasunduan ang pagbuo ng kurikulum, pagsasanay ng mga g**o, at pagpapalawak ng mga kagamitang panturo para sa programa.

“By renewing this partnership, we are not just teaching a new language; we are opening doors to global opportunities for our teachers and learners,” saad ni Angara.
