Last September 24, Mayor Edang personally visited Barangay Sto. Niño to inspect the drainage system and listen the concerns of the residents. During the rainy season, the barangay specifically in Sitio Inas has long suffered from overflowing drainage that causes flooding and disrupts daily life.

Mayor Edang listened attentively to the community's complaints and assured everyone that this issue will be addressed with urgency.

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜

The Parole and Probation Officers from Carcar City held a productive courtesy meeting with the Honorable Municipal Mayor Erlinda "Edang" Piedad of LGU Malabuyoc. The discussion centered on strengthening collaboration between the Parole Office and the Local Government Unit to better serve clients across neighboring town (Badian to Ginatilan).

Mayor Edang expressed her full support particularly their request for a designated venue for their reporting more accessible for clients and from other municipalities. This gestures reflects LGU's commitment to rehabilitation and reintegration.

Moreover, the Parole and Probation Office are honored by Mayor Edang's willingness to serve as a 𝙑𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 (𝙑𝙋𝘼), a role that embodies community partnership in the justice system. The Parole Office expressed their interest in participating in upcoming Sangguniang Bayan (SB) and Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) meetings for information campaign to further align the programs.

I'm proud to inform you, that the three (3) House Bills I authored seeking to convert these three satellite campuses into regular campuses have been APPROVED by the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education! 🎉

The conversion of these campuses will mean better facilities, more funding, and expanded programs and courses for our students and future generations.

This milestone is not mine alone, it is a victory for all parents, students, and educators who continue to believe in the power of education to transform lives.

We still have a long way to go, but today, we celebrate this major progress. Daghang salamat sa inyong suporta ug padayonon nato ang paghatag og prioridad sa edukasyon para sa mas hayag nga kaugma-on! 🌞

Malabuyoc takes pride as 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑵𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒊𝒆𝒅𝒂𝒅 earns his seat as one of the nine 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 in the newly concluded election of the 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 – Cebu Province, held last September 12–13, 2025 at Bai Hotel, Cebu.
