Matagumpay na nagsagawa ng pagsasanay sa paghahanda at pagbebenta ng ligtas na mga produkto, kabilang na ang mga pagkain, ang DOST-NCR CAMANAVA CASTO para sa mga kasapi ng Juana Zero Express (JZE) Stores mula Malabon at Navotas City noong ika-10 at 17 ng Oktubre 2026 sa NBBS Phase 1-C Multipurpose Facility, Navotas City. Ang pagsasanay na dinaluhan ng mahigit 35 indibidwal ay naipatupad sa tulong ng Mother Earth Foundation.

Natutunan ng mga dumalo sa training ang mga mahahalagang punto ukol sa mga paksa ng Productivity Improvement thru 7s Principles; Food Safety Hazards, at Food Safety Hygiene. Ang mga kaalamang ito ay makatutulong nang malaki upang matiyak na ligtas, malinis, at mataas ang kalidad ng mga produktong ibinebenta ng grupo sa mga mamimili.

Ang aktibidad na ito ay bahagi lamang ng mga inisyatibo ng DOST-NCR tungo sa mas inklusibo at pinalakas na mga komunidad, kabilang ang mga grupong binubuo ng kababaihan at senior citizens, sa tulong ng agham, teknolohiya at inobasyon.

The 2026 3rd Quarter Release of GAD at A Glance is here!

Did you know? Violence against women is not a private issue. It is a violation of human rights and a serious social concern that affects families, workplaces, and communities.

Under Republic Act. No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004, women and their children are protected from physical, sexual, psychological, and economic abuse in marital, dating, or intimate relationship.

The Philippines also observes the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women every year from November 25
to December 12, reinforcing the government's commitment to creating a society where women and girls can live free from fear, discrimination, and violence.

Ending VAW is everyone's responsibility. By promoting respect, gender equality, safe spaces, and survivor-centered support, we help build communities where every woman and girl can thrive with dignity and security.

Remember: Violence has no place in any relationship. Together, let's help end VAW.

Students of Probex School in Malabon can now easily access more reliable Science and Technology resources through the schoolโ€™s adoption of the DOST-developed Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosk Stations (STARBOOKS)!

On October 6, 2026, PROBEX School Director, Atty. Jeff Marvick R. De Gulan and DOST-NCR CAMANAVA CASTO Head, Mr. Warren Gomez, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), for the adoption of STARBOOKS, providing students and educators with another avenue to explore science, technology, and a wide range of learning resources.

During the turnover activity, one hundred (100) students and teachers took part in the STARBOOKS Orientation and Userโ€™s Training, where they learned how to create a user profile, learn the Kioskโ€™s different features, and access various learning references in the digital library. โœจ

This activity is only one of DOST-NCR's initiatives towards empowering communities, including youthโ€™s development, through science, technology, and innovation-based interventions ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š

Makakasama natin ang dalawa sa ating DOST Balik Scientists mula sa UPLB upang talakayin ang kanilang mga makabagong teknolohiya at pananaliksik para sa kalikasan at kaligtasan ng komunidad!

Makakapanayam natin si Dr. Charles John C. Gunay, Assistant Professor mula sa UPLB School of Environmental Science and Management, na magbabahagi tungkol sa Balik Scientist Program at kung paano nito naiuugnay ang agham sa aktuwal na pangangailangan ng bansa. Kabilang sa kanyang mga engagements ang pangangalaga sa mga kalikasan at kabuhayan ng komunidad sa NATURE SWABE-Mindanao at MAWRCC Project 1, landslide early warning sa LIGTAS-AGAD Project, water security sa Laguna Lake sa P2L2 Project, at capacity building initiatives para sa mga LGU at NGA personnel.

Makakasama rin natin si Dr. Ericson G. Escobedo, Assistant Professor mula sa UPLB Institute of Chemistry, upang ipaliwanag ang kaniyang modular EC/EO technology na mabilis na nagtatanggal ng microplastics at lason sa wastewater.

Kasama rin natin si Mr. Jiego Reyes, co-host ng Siyensikat, upang talakayin ang pagbabalik ng Siyensikat: Pinoy Popular Science Para sa Lahat at kung paano naipararamdam at naipaabot ang siyensiya, inobasyon, at teknolohiya mula sa mga bundok hanggang sa kasuluk-sulukan ng mga isla.
