Today, July 30, 2026, the team from Aklan Electric Cooperative (AKELCO), Inc. โ€“ Lezo Substation successfully completed the connection of electrical lines and the transfer of electrical service to the newly installed transformer at ASUโ€“Makato for two (2) campus buildings: the Administration and Library Building.

This development marks another step in improving the campusโ€™ facilities and ensuring reliable power supply for academic and administrative operations.

Special appreciation is extended to Ms. Priscilla T. Taplac, Board Director, Area IV, AKELCO, Inc., for her support in facilitating the request for the electrical line transfer and connection of the campus.

ASU-Makato convened its Campus Faculty and Staff Development Committee (CFSDC) and Local Pre-Screening Evaluation Committee on July 23, 2026, at the Office of the Campus Director.

The meeting brought together academic and administrative unit heads to deliberate on faculty and staff requests for permits to study, as well as academic and administrative matters. In addition, an evaluation of the submitted documents related to the application for Contract of Service Instructor was also held.

This initiative shows ASU-Makatoโ€™s steadfast commitment to quality education, professional development, and good governance to ensure that institutional processes remain transparent, accountable, and aligned with the universityโ€™s mission.
