The Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) was established on 10 May 2012 in compliance to Republic Act 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010. The Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) performs the following responsibilities:
- establish community-based volunteer and rescue groups
- strengthen exis
ting teams
- raise public awareness and involvement of all sectors
- networking and partnership with stakeholders in Makati and other LGUs
- integrate gender and vulnerable group-sensitive strategies during disasters
The Makati DRRMO consists of a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, DRRM Administration and Training Officer, DRRM Research and Planning Officer, DRRM Operations and Warning Officer and other necessary staff and personnel. The organizational structure is expanded to integrate Makati Command, Control and Communication (Makati C3) and Makati Rescue.
