ERMITA | The 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion (3MRBn) participated in the Basic Incident Command System (BICS) Training conducted at the National Library of the Philippines, T.M. Kalaw Avenue, Ermita, Metro Manila.

The activity was designed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS), particularly its principles, organization, functions, and procedures in managing emergencies and incidents. This capability is highly essential for operational planning, especially in a disaster-prone country like the Philippines, which is frequently battered by natural calamities. Furthermore, the course underscored the vital importance of jointness, seamless coordination, and interoperability among Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in supporting civil disaster response operations.

Through this training, the 3MRBn reaffirms its commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and response, ensuring that the Philippine Marine Corps remain ready to serve the Filipino people with competence, resilience, and unity in times of crisis.

MANILA CITY | On 01 September 2026, MAJ SHERWIN B SALVADOR PN(M), Operations Officer, together with 1LT PRECIOUS ANNE M VERGARA PN(M), ACO, 33MC, conducted a courtesy call and dialogue with Atty. Eduardo P. Quintos XIV at the Manila City Hall, A. Villegas Street, Padre Burgos Avenue, Ermita, Manila City. The engagement focused on providing updates regarding Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) and other related Civil-Military Operations (CMO) activities within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The courtesy call served as an avenue to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the Philippine Marine Corps and the Manila City Government, particularly in the areas of HADR, disaster preparedness, and CMO activities. Discussions centered on enhancing collaborative efforts and coordination mechanisms to ensure an effective and timely response during emergencies and disasters.

The engagement further strengthens the partnership between the 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion(3MRBn) and the Manila City Government in promoting disaster preparedness, community resilience, and public safety. It also reaffirms the unit’s commitment to supporting local government efforts in safeguarding lives and properties.

MALABON CITY | On August 30 to 31, 2026, the 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion (3MRBn), together with Honorable Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval, conducted a distribution of food packs at Dampalit Elementary School-Main, Malabon City.

The activity provided food assistance to residents staying at the evacuation center, offering support and bringing relief to families and individuals in the community. The initiative also highlighted the importance of cooperation and solidarity among government agencies and community partners in responding to the needs of the people.

Through continued outreach and humanitarian efforts, the 3MRBn remains committed to strengthening its partnership with local stakeholders and extending meaningful assistance to communities within its area of responsibility.

TAGUIG CITY | On 28 August 2026, the 3rd Marine Rifle Battallion formally conducted the Incorporation Ceremony of the Newly Reported Personnel at Headquarters 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion, Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. This significant event marks the official integration of the new Marines into the battalion, reinforcing unity, discipline, and commitment to the mission of safeguarding our nation.

The ceremony highlighted the enduring traditions of the Philippine Marine Corps, emphasizing the values of honor, courage, and loyalty that each Marine is expected to uphold. The newly reported personnel were welcomed with pride, symbolizing their transition from training into the operational fold of the battalion, ready to contribute to its mission and responsibilities.

On 29 August 2026, the 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion, under the PMRF-NCR/Maritime Component, NCRCOM, conducted “Libreng Sakay” operations in Navotas and Malabon City as part of its Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response efforts. The activity provided free transportation assistance to residents and commuters in communities affected by flooding, helping address mobility concerns brought about by the prevailing conditions in the area.

The transportation support helped ease mobility challenges and assisted individuals in safely reaching their respective destinations amid the flooding in various areas of Navotas and Malabon City. Through the deployment of its personnel and available resources, the 3MRBn responded to the immediate needs of the community and extended assistance to those affected by the situation.

The initiative highlights the 3MRBn’s readiness to provide timely and responsive assistance to the community, particularly during situations requiring immediate support, and reinforces its commitment to serving the people through meaningful HADR efforts.

TAGUIG CITY | On 27 August 2026, the 3rd Marine Rifle Battalion under the leadership of LTCOL VINCE EDWARD C SALMINGO PN(M)(GSC), formally concluded the Combat Life Saver Training Class 01-2026 at H3MRBn, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Manila.

This milestone event highlighted the unit’s commitment to enhancing the operational readiness and lifesaving capabilities of its personnel, ensuring that every Marine is equipped with vital skills to preserve life in combat and operational environments. The ceremony served as a testament to the unit’s dedication to excellence, discipline, and service. By successfully completing the Combat Life Saver Training, the Marines reaffirmed their readiness to respond to the call of duty with courage and competence.

This highlights the importance of continuous training and professional development, reinforcing the unit’s vital role in safeguarding lives and upholding the proud traditions of the Philippine Marine Corps.
