โœจ ๐…๐ˆ๐„๐‹๐ƒ ๐•๐ˆ๐’๐ˆ๐“ | Chemin Neuf Philippines

This week, France Volontaires Philippines visited Chemin Neuf in Sampaloc, Manila, and met with two volunteers currently serving there.

Mague, a VSI sent by La Guilde for a one-year mission, and Vald, a volunteer under the JET (Jeunes ร  lโ€™ร‰tranger) programme, sent by the Communautรฉ du Chemin Neuf.

They are both serving in SanLo (San Lorenzo) Village, where they work as coaches for out-of-school youth, supporting their inclusion through spiritual, social, and professional integration.

After almost a year of volunteering in France, Rem and Maya are back in the Philippines and recently joined their debriefing session at our Espace Volontariats.

Deployed by La Dรฉlรฉgation Catholique pour la Coopรฉration as VSI volunteers, they worked in the social services sector, supporting and caring for people with disabilities.

๐ŸŒฑRem was based at La Canopรฉe - Habitat Partagรฉ & Permaculture in Bondues, where he spent much of his time gardening alongside the โ€œcompagnonsโ€ living in this unique shared residence.

โค๏ธโ€๐ŸฉนMaya volunteered with SIMON De Cyrรจne Marseille, where she accompanied residents with special needs in their daily lives and took an active part in the community.

During the session, they reflected on the differences between the French and Philippine approaches to empowering persons with disabilities, shared their key learnings, discussed their expectations versus realities, and spoke about how this international volunteering experience has shaped their personal and professional aspirations.

๐ŸŽ‰ ๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐š๐ฒ, Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation!

On August 15, the TnK Foundation celebrated 28 years of dedicated service to vulnerable children in Manila. The celebration, held in Quezon City, brought together partners, friends, supporters, and members of the TnK community to mark this important milestone.

The event was honoured by the presence of the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, with welcome remarks delivered by H.E. Marie Fontanel, Ambassador of France, highlighting the importance of partnerships in supporting youth.

We would also like to celebrate and thank the 5 international volunteers currently serving with Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation, deployed by Fidesco and Missions Etrangรจres de Paris under VSI contracts. Through their time, skills, and dedication, they contribute every day to TnK's mission.

France Volontaires - Philippines was pleased to join the opening ceremony of the new Life Project 4 Youth - LP4Y Tondo Community Center, an important milestone for the local community and for youth inclusion.

Bringing together the Little Angels Academy (LAA) and the Tondo Development Center (TDC) under one shared space, the new Community Center will offer childcare, parental support, learning opportunities, and community activities.

This achievement is also a reflection of the commitment and dedication of the volunteers who contribute every day to LP4Yโ€™s work and to the communities they serve.

Last week France Volontaires Philippines visited ACAY Missions in Quezon City and met with Ombeline, a 6-month Service Civique volunteer sent by Eurasia Net, during her final week of mission.

During her volunteering, Ombeline worked as a coach, supporting beneficiaries in developing business and professional skills to strengthen their small entrepreneurial activities. These include the production and sale of handcrafted accessories and food condiments. Her contribution focused on helping beneficiaries gain practical knowledge and confidence to develop their activities and move towards greater self-sustainability.

โœจ FIELD VISIT | ERDA Foundation, Inc.

Last week, our team visited the ERDA Foundation in Quezon City, where a group of French Scout volunteered 10 days sharing their time, skills, and enthusiasm with the children of the ERDA Sabana Center.

Founded by French Jesuit Fr. Pierre Tritz, ERDA has been supporting disadvantaged Filipino children through education since 1974. Today, French Scout volunteers from Scouts et Guides de France help carry forward its spirit of service by sharing their time and skills with the children each year.
Through interactive sessions in mathematics, arts and crafts, geography, and basic scouting, they created a fun learning environment while fostering teamwork, creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence.

A big thank you to the French Scout volunteers for their commitment and to the ERDA Foundation for their warm welcome. ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
