The Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (DCCP) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dutch Executive Director to lead the Chamber’s day-to-day operations and further strengthen its role as a platform for Dutch-Philippine business relations. 🇳🇱🇵🇭

🏢 About DCCP

DCCP is a non-profit business organization dedicated to strengthening trade, investment, and economic relations between the Netherlands and the Philippines.

The Chamber supports Dutch and Philippine companies through business information services, trade and investment promotion, advocacy, networking events, trade missions, B2B matchmaking, company referrals, and representation of member interests.

🤝 About the Role

The Executive Director will lead a small, dedicated team responsible for membership services, events and marketing, business development, advocacy, finance, and administration.

The role also involves working closely with the Board of Trustees, members, government agencies, partner chambers, and other key stakeholders.

🔎 We are looking for someone who:

• Is Dutch and currently residing in the Philippines or willing to relocate
• Has experience in strategic leadership, finance, and business development
• Has excellent Dutch and English communication skills
• Is familiar with trade, investment, government relations, and corporate governance
• Has a strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
• Can build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

🎓 Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, International Business, or a related field
• An MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• Ideally, 3–5 years of senior management experience

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dutch professional to help strengthen business relations between the Netherlands and the Philippines and shape the Chamber’s future growth.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, we would like to share that our Executive Director, Mr. Mitchel Smolders, has decided to pursue a new opportunity as he embarks on the next chapter of his professional journey.

After 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 of dedicated service, Mitchel's last working day with the Chamber will be 𝟑𝟏 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Over the past seven and a half years, Mitchel has played an extraordinary role in shaping the Chamber into the strong, respected, and vibrant organization it is today. Through his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment, and genuine passion for serving our members, he has strengthened the Dutch-Philippine business community, expanded the Chamber's impact, and created lasting value for our members and stakeholders.

The many milestones we have achieved together stand as a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and tireless efforts. More importantly, he leaves behind a Chamber that is stronger, more connected, and well-positioned for continued growth and success.

📰 [𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬] Coconut exports seen rising amid El Niño setbacks

"MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) expects coconut export revenues to exceed 2025 levels despite El Niño risks.

The Philippines exported $3.6 billion worth of coconut products in 2025, up 35.2 percent from $2.7 billion a year earlier, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Coconut oil exports rose 30.1 percent to $2.89 billion, accounting for more than 80 percent of total coconut export revenues.
