PHILGUARANTEE Hosts 2-Day Study Mission and Knowledge Exchange with Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund of Nepal, Government of Koshi Province

State-owned Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) hosted officials from the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF) Nepal and the Government of Koshi Province, along with representatives from Rastriya Banijya Bank, Global IME Bank Ltd., and the Udaya Project, for a two-day Study Mission and Knowledge Exchange on Credit Guarantee Systems last September 9-10, 2026.

The study mission was conducted in connection with the Udaya Project, which supports the development of a provincial-level credit guarantee scheme in Koshi Province, Nepal.

PHILGUARANTEE highlights MSME credit guarantee programs at EDC-BSP Financing Forum

The Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) showcased its key credit guarantee programs designed to broaden access to capital for small businesses during the national financing forum, “Bridging the Gap: Aligning Policy, Programs, and MSME Financing Needs,” held on September 11, 2026, at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Assembly Hall in Malate, Manila.

Jointly organized by the Export Development Council – Networking Committee on Finance (EDC-NCF) and the BSP, the forum convened leaders from government, partner banks, and trade organizations to address structural credit hurdles facing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide.

Furthering efforts to strengthen relationships with valued Partner Lending Institutions (PLI), PHILGUARANTEE met with the members of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) in a meeting held on September 7, 2026.

“We extend our sincerest thanks to RBAP for being our longstanding partner in expanding financial inclusion to farmers and entrepreneurs from the farthest corners of the archipelago,” President and CEO Alberto Pascual said.

The meeting underscored PHILGUARANTEE’s commitment to forging stronger partnerships with RBAP-member banks and demonstrating institutional credibility on which the Corporation’s mandate is built upon.

PHILGUARANTEE’s P2.41 Billion Guarantee Support to Cooperatives Expands Financing Access for 24,386 Beneficiaries as of H1 2026

State-owned Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) continues to advance inclusive economic growth by strengthening financing for cooperatives through its guarantee programs. As of June 2026, the Corporation has facilitated a cumulative outstanding value of P2.41 billion in cooperative guaranteed loans, benefitting 24,386 beneficiaries.

State-owned Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) recorded strong growth in its housing credit guarantee portfolio during the first half of 2026, reflecting sustained lending activity and continued demand for affordable housing finance.

As of H1 2026, the total value of loans guaranteed amounts to P343.39 billion, representing a 9.44% increase from P313.77 billion recorded in the same period in 2025.

PHILGUARANTEE achieves 99.48% Service Score and receives Compliant Rating from ARTA for FY 2025 Client Satisfaction Measurement

Service excellence remains at the forefront of PHILGUARANTEE’s mission as it received compliant remarks from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) in its implementation of the Client Satisfaction Measurement (CSM) for FY 2025.

Based on the ARTA evaluation, PHILGUARANTEE achieved ‘Outstanding’ marks, highlighted by a 99.48% rating in Service Quality Delivery (SQD) for External Services. ARTA’s evaluation was anchored on the Corporation’s 2024 Citizen’s Charter (7th Edition).

PHILGUARANTEE posts 43% growth in agricultural guarantees for H1 2026

State-run Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) expanded its agricultural credit guarantee operations significantly during the first six months of 2026, driven by increased lending activities among partner lending institutions (PLIs) supporting small farmers and fisherfolk (SFFs).

Citing its latest Agricultural Guarantee Fund Pool (AGFP) status report, total Year-To- Date (YTD) guaranteed loans reached P3.34 billion as of June 30, 2026. This figure reflects a 42.96% increase from the P2.34 billion recorded in the same period last year.

Commercial, thrift, and rural banks led the expansion, accounting for P3.09 billion in guaranteed loans or a 50.63% surge from P2.05 billion in H1 2025. Partner cooperatives likewise contributed to the growth, rising 23.83% to P176.99 million from P142.93 million.

PHILGUARANTEE joins NREA 2026 Mid-Year General Membership Assembly

State-owned Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) joined the National Real Estate Association, Inc.’s (NREA) Mid-Year General Membership Assembly 2026 held last July 24, 2026, at Bayview Park Hotel, Manila.

SVP Teresito Cayo A. Butardo, Group Head of the Housing Guarantee Group, received a citation from NREA on behalf of PHILGUARANTEE, where it highlighted the Corporation’s continued support for housing sector initiatives, especially promoting greater access to sustainable housing finance.

“Through its partnership with NREA, PHILGUARANTEE remains committed to helping expand opportunities for affordable homeownership by working closely with key stakeholders in the real estate industry,” said SVP Butardo.

PHILGUARANTEE appreciates NREA’s recognition and looks forward to further strengthening partnerships that contribute to inclusive and sustainable housing finance development nationwide.
