It is a quasi-judicial corporate entity created to implement the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP). The ECP provides a package of benefits for public and private sector employees and their dependents in the event of work-connected contingencies such as sickness, injury, disability or death. As implementor of the Employees Compensation Program, ECC is mandated by law to provide meaningful and a

ppropriate compensation to workers. Its main functions are:

- To formulate policies and guidelines for the improvement of the employees' compensation program;
- To review and decide on appeal all EC claims disapproved by the Systems; and
- To initiate policies and programs toward adequate occupational health and safety and accident prevention in the working environment

The Employees' Compensation Commission is looking for:

1 – Electrical Inspector II
Employment Status: Permanent
Plantilla Item No.: 17
Pay Grade: 8-1
Monthly Salary: PHP 23,399 + 2,000 PERA
Education: High School Graduate or Completion of relevant vocational / trade course Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
Training: 4 hours of relevant training
Eligibility: Electrician (Building Wiring) (-250 volts) (MC 11, s. 96- Cat I.)
Place of Assignment: ECC Head Office – Makati City

ECC-REU II, nagbahagi ng kaalaman sa 3-Day SENA basic training ng DOLE R2

TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – Nagbahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman ang Employees’ Compensation Commission – Regional Extension Unit II (ECC-REU II) tungkol sa Employees’ Compensation (EC) Program sa tatlong araw na “Let’s SEtTle! SEADO Basic Training on SENA Conciliation-Mediation” ng Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office II (DOLE R2), na nagsimula noong Agosto 26.

Sa imbitasyon ni DOLE Region II Senior Labor and Employment Officer Rhey Allan, at sa pangunguna ni DOLE Regional Director Imelda E. Romanillos, nagsilbing resource speaker si ECC-REU II Information Officer Keith Janzl Cid B. Ringor.

Tinalakay ni Ringor ang proseso ng paghahain ng Employees’ Compensation (EC) claim, mga benepisyong ipinagkakaloob sa ilalim ng programa, at mga aksidente, sakit, at iba pang work-related contingencies na maaaring saklaw ng EC Program.

Sa ngalan ni ECC Executive Director Atty. Kaima Via B. Velasquez, binigyang-diin ng ECC ang kahalagahan ng pagpapalawak ng kaalaman ng mga SENA Desk Officer ng DOLE R2 tungkol sa mga benepisyo at proteksyong maaaring ipagkaloob sa mga manggagawang Pilipino sa ilalim ng EC Program.

Sa pamamagitan ng pakikilahok nito sa naturang pagsasanay, patuloy na inilalapit ng ECC REU II ang EC Program sa mga katuwang na ahensya ng pamahalaan upang higit na mapalawak ang kaalaman tungkol sa programa at matiyak na mas maraming manggagawa ang mabibigyan ng tamang gabay sa pag-access ng kanilang mga karapatan at benepisyo.

The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), through its Regional Extension Unit V (REU V), participated in the inter-agency inspection of the construction site of the Legacy Hospital Building at the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC) Compound in Daraga, Albay, on August 27, 2026. The activity formed part of the High Impact, High Visibility Inspection and Monitoring (HIHVIM) in the Construction Sector spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)–Albay, with the theme, “Building Compliance, Protecting Workers.” The inspection aimed to promote compliance with occupational safety and health standards and strengthen the protection of workers in the construction industry.

As a partner agency in advancing workers’ social protection, the ECC continues to work closely with DOLE and other government agencies in promoting safe and healthy workplaces. Through these collaborative efforts, the ECC helps ensure that workers are adequately informed and protected against work-related contingencies and that appropriate Employees’ Compensation (EC) benefits are made available to qualified workers and their beneficiaries in cases of work-related sickness, injury, disability, or death.

The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), through its Regional Extension Unit I (REU I), in collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – La Union, conducted a program orientation to strengthen awareness of the Employees’ Compensation (EC) Program among information officers in La Union.

Around 60 information officers from various national government agencies, local government units, and barangays participated in the orientation.

ECC Regional Officer Dexter Dupagan led the discussion, providing an overview of the EC Program, including its coverage, benefits, and procedures for filing claims.
