Affected Areas:
> Municipality of Aurora (Excluding Barangays Lubid, Lantungan, Inroad and Resthouse)
> Municipalities of Ramon Magsaysay, Sominot, Midsalip, Tambulig, Molave, Mahayag, Dumingag, Josefina of Zamboanga del sur
> Municipality of Don Victoriano, Misamis Occidental
> Including Barangays Navalan, Sambulawan, Buenasuerte of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur

Reasons of Power Interruption:

NGCP will conduct shutdown of the Aurora-Calamba 69kV Line and Aurora-Magangon 69kV Line to facilitate the configuration of the 5.48 km double circuit 69 kV transmission lines as part of the approved corrective action plan to address the recurring line trippings that occured from May 15-22, 2026, to enhance system reliability and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Power will be restored without prior notice as soon as the maintenance works are completed. Please take the necessary preparations and precautions in anticipation of this scheduled power interruption.

As part of the 14th Simultaneous School Camporal of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), the MDRRMO Personnel of the Municipality of Mahayag under the leadership of Engr. Romeo C. Soria, conducted lectures and practical demonstrations for the Boy Scouts of Mahayag School of Arts and Trades (MSAT).

The activity covered essential skills in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, Lifts and Carries, and Basic Knot Tying—equipping young scouts with knowledge and practical skills that can be useful during emergencies, disasters, and rescue situations.

Through these activities, we continue to empower our young scouts to be prepared, responsible, and ready to help others when it matters most. 🚑🪢

Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 | Disaster Preparedness Symposium ✨

As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Mahayag, conducted a Disaster Preparedness Symposium for the youth of Barangay Lower Santo Niño and Barangay Manguiles.

The symposium was facilitated by the MDRRMO personnel, under the leadership of Engr. Romeo C. Soria, focusing on Disaster Preparedness, Basic Life Support (BLS), and First Aid.

The symposium aimed to enhance the knowledge, awareness, and preparedness of the youth in responding to emergencies and disasters, while equipping them with essential lifesaving skills that can be applied in times of need.

Through initiatives like this, the MDRRMO MAHAYAG continues to promote a prepared, informed, and resilient youth as active partners in building safer communities.
