We are proud to be part of the CTRL+YOU Training-Seminar.

The activity was enriched by the expertise of our resource speakers, Ms. Shannen Amber S. Lim-Mendez, Youth Development Officer II, and Mr. Christian Jake S. Tabara, Youth Campaign Officer.

The event was also honored by the presence of Mayor Noel Joseph M. Machon, together with a partnership of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the GAD Office. For the effort and support of leadership under SK Federation President Marie Antonitte Macalipay, along with the SK Chairpersons from various barangays of Magdiwang.

This meaningful initiative was successfully held at Sanctuary Garden Resort, reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing youth development, promoting mental health awareness, upholding children’s rights, and addressing teenage pregnancy.

A heartfelt thank you to the initiative of Liberal Youth–Romblon for organizing a community pantry for the Jao Asan community. The residents are truly grateful for this effort, guided by the theme: “Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, kumuha batay sa pangangailangan.” Through this, even in small ways, we are able to help one another with our daily food needs.

This meaningful activity was led by the Vice President of the organization, Hon. Robert Simon T. Rosas, together with Ma’am Elizabeth Ibañez, Alona Rapada, Jonas Rodelas, Oira Franco, Kagawad Larry Ropero, and many others who made this possible through their generosity, donations, and willingness to help.

We extend our deepest gratitude during these challenging times that our world is facing. May this initiative serve as a light in the darkness—a reminder that there is hope, there is recovery, and that no one is alone, even in moments of hardship.

Turn trash into treasure! ♻️✨

Aligned with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, this initiative promotes sustainability through recycling, reuse, and environmental awareness.

Join our “Trash to Treasure Handicraft Fair” and discover how recyclable and organic materials can be transformed into creative, useful, and eco-friendly products. Let’s work together to reduce waste, showcase our creativity, and build a cleaner, greener Barangay Jao-asan!

The “Trash to Treasure Handicraft Fair” is a community-based activity open to all residents of Barangay Jao-asan. Participants will create handicrafts using recyclable and organic materials such as plastic bottles, paper, cans, wood scraps, dried leaves, and other biodegradable or reusable items.

The event will include:

• Handicraft Exhibit – Display of finished products made from recycled materials
• Contest Proper – Participants will compete individually or by group
• Demonstration/Presentation – Participants explain how their product was made and its usefulness
• Judging and Awarding – Winners will be selected based on set criteria

Criteria for Judging:

• Creativity and originality
• Use of recyclable/organic materials
• Functionality and usefulness of the product
• Durability and craftsmanship
• Presentation and explanation of the product

Submit your entries on April 18, 2026 in Barangay Auditorium, and we’ll have a short program at exactly 9:00 o’clock in the morning.

Barangay Jao Asan – January 26, 2026

The newly elected SK officials of Barangay Jao Asan successfully attended the SKMT, a program designed to equip youth leaders with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for effective leadership and public service.

During the training, the following speakers shared their expertise and guidance:

• SK Federation President Hon. Marie Antonitte D. Macalipay

The session provided valuable insights to prepare our SK officials to serve the youth and the community with integrity and dedication. 💙

Your voice matters in shaping the future of our community! We are holding a PRE-KK ASSEMBLY and a SPECIAL ELECTION for our vacant SK Kagawad positions, and we need YOU to be part of the decision-making process.
​Who can vote?

✅ All youth aged 15 to 30 years old
✅ Residents of Barangay Jao-asan
✅ Registered Voters

This is our chance to choose leaders who will represent our interests and bring fresh ideas to our barangay. Huwag palampasin ang pagkakataong ito na makilahok at bumoto!
