The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay Calabcab successfully conducted its Regular Session on June 1, 2026, at the Barangay Hall, bringing together barangay officials and personnel to discuss key matters concerning governance, community development, and public service delivery.
The session was presided over by the Punong Barangay and attended by members of the Sangguniang Barangay, committee chairpersons, and concerned barangay staff. The meeting served as a venue for deliberating policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at strengthening barangay governance and improving services for the community.
Among the agenda discussed were updates on ongoing barangay projects, peace and order concerns, environmental protection initiatives, infrastructure development, and preparations for upcoming community activities. Committee reports were likewise presented and reviewed to ensure the effective implementation of various barangay programs and services.
As part of the advocacy of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), the BLGU Calabcab also facilitated the turnover of the birth certificate of Alexa Comania. The initiative underscores the barangay's commitment to promoting children's rights and ensuring access to legal identity and essential civil registration documents, which are crucial in accessing government services, education, healthcare, and other opportunities.
Barangay officials emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and collaboration in addressing community concerns and achieving sustainable development.
