MACARTHUR, Leyte — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MacArthur expressed its heartfelt appreciation to SPES staff 𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘 𝗘. 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗦 for her two-month service and meaningful contribution to the office under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES).

In a simple recognition and send-off gesture, the office commended Campos for her diligence, professionalism, and commitment during her temporary assignment. Her efforts were noted to have supported the day-to-day operations of the office, contributing to improved efficiency in administrative tasks and documentation support.

The DILG MacArthur, under DILG MacArthur, highlighted that SPES beneficiaries play an important role in government offices by gaining valuable work experience while also assisting in public service delivery.

Well wishes were extended to Campos as she moves forward with her academic and personal pursuits, emphasizing that her contribution will remain part of the office’s continued efforts in delivering efficient and responsive public service.

The office also reaffirmed its support for programs like SPES, which help nurture young individuals while strengthening government workforce support systems.

𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒, 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 | 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐏𝐌𝐂 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) of the Local Government Unit Of MacArthur,Leyte successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting on June 5, 2026, at the Conference Room, 2/F Executive Building, Municipal Hall, MacArthur, Leyte. The meeting gathered committee members and stakeholders to discuss key project monitoring initiatives and strengthen local governance mechanisms.

The meeting was spearheaded by LPMC Member and Focal Person, Engr. Norly G. Lanza, who led the discussions on significant developments and upcoming activities of the committee. Among the highlights presented was the municipality's attainment of a High Functional rating for the LPMC Functionality Assessment for the 1st Quarter FY 2026, reflecting the committee's commitment to effective project monitoring and implementation.

The committee also discussed the Most Significant Change (MSC) Approach in relation to the SubayBAYANI Awards, emphasizing the importance of documenting impactful project outcomes and success stories that demonstrate positive changes in communities brought about by government-funded projects.

Another key agenda item was the presentation of the results of the Joint Monitoring and Inspection conducted on May 13, 2026, covering the seven (7) projects under the FY 2025 Local Government Support Fund–Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP). The inspection assessed the status and implementation progress of the projects to ensure compliance with program standards and timelines.

Proposed LPMC resolutions were likewise deliberated to further enhance the committee's operational effectiveness and support the continuous improvement of local project monitoring systems. Other matters relevant to project implementation and governance were also discussed during the meeting.

Demonstrating its commitment to organizational development, the DILG MacArthur actively participated in the Cluster 2 Wellness Activity and Team Building held on May 28, 2026, in Pastrana, Leyte.

The activity brought together personnel from DILG Offices across the 2nd district for a day of meaningful engagement and wellness activities aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting a healthy work-life balance among public servants.

Led by Cluster Head Estela I. Creer, the gathering provided an opportunity for participants to step away from their regular work routines and engage in activities that foster camaraderie, trust, and teamwork.

Beyond recreation, the wellness activity served as a platform for strengthening partnerships among District 2 DILG field offices, enabling participants to exchange experiences, share best practices, and cultivate a stronger sense of unity in pursuing the Department's programs and mandates.

As DILG continues to champion programs that support both professional growth and personal well-being, activities such as these remain instrumental in building resilient teams capable of meeting the evolving needs of the communities they serve.

𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐌&𝐄 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

In preparation for the upcoming World Bank Monitoring and Evaluation Visit scheduled on June 9, 2026, the Local Government Unit Of MacArthur,Leyte convened a preparatory meeting on June 3, 2026, at the ABC Hall. The activity gathered department heads, LGU officials, and key personnel to discuss the flow of the visit and provide an orientation on its objectives, activities, and expected outcomes.

The preparatory meeting aimed to ensure the municipality's readiness for the visit and to align all concerned offices on the program's implementation status, accomplishments, and key areas for discussion. Participants were briefed on the schedule of activities and their respective roles in facilitating a productive engagement with the World Bank delegation.

The upcoming visit forms part of the ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts of project implementation in the municipality. It seeks to assess project accomplishments, identify challenges encountered during implementation, and document lessons learned from various program interventions that have contributed to local development initiatives.

Moreover, the visit will serve as a valuable platform for dialogue among local stakeholders, partner agencies, community representatives, and the World Bank team. Discussions will focus on project implementation experiences, sustainability measures, and opportunities for future development support that will further strengthen the municipality's growth and resilience.

Through this collaborative engagement, LGU MacArthur reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in the delivery of programs and services that uplift the lives of its constituents.
