STANDARD FIRST AID TRAINING FOR
GRADE 5&6 PUPILS

The Mabuhay Rural Health Unit spearheaded by Dra Jessa Alquizar - Municipal Health Officer, with the coordination of Mabuhay School District, conducted Standard First Aid Training among Grade 5&6 pupils on selected schools.

This training aims to provide education and first aid skills to the pupils as early as possible. This is in connection to the goal of the Health Emergency Bureau that 1trained member per 1 household on SFA and BLS to provide early response and management among household members and community.

This activity will be conducted regularly and continually to promote active skills learning and provide confidence among lay rescuers to aid the 1st responders on delivering rapid, accurate first emergency response.

"PUROKALUSUGAN LAUNCHING"

The Mabuhay RHU together with the DOH-PDOHO team launches the "PuroKalusagan" at BHS Catipan, Mabuhay, ZSP.

The PuroKalusugan is a program by the Department of Health (DOH) aimed at delivering essential healthcare services directly to residents of “puroks” or barangay zones nationwide.

The PuroKalusugan program is part of the DOH’s Eight-Point Action Agenda, which prioritizes Vaccination, Nutrition, Water Sanitation, Maternal Health, Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV screening, Road Safety, Non-communicable disease prevention, and Cancer treatment. By focusing on these eight areas, the program aims to reduce health disparities and improve overall well-being.

The PuroKalusugan program represents a major step forward in making universal healthcare a reality for all Filipinos. This initiative ensures that essential medical services will be accessible to every community. Through innovative healthcare approaches, community involvement, and strong government support.

Bringing the entire workforce to render health services among its constituents to promote health and provide quality services.

Joining with us are the Provincial DOH Team, ZSP Blood Collecting Team and Sir Mingie Lou Diongson to give assistance and share their capabilities.

Services provided as follows;
●Maternal Care Program
●Under 5 Care
●Family Planning
●Non-Communicable Diseases
●Medical Consultation with Free Meds
●Mass Blood Donation - 35 donors
●Operation Bukol- 6 patients

Our deepest appreciation to Brgy Captain Alex Figueroa and Brgy Officials and Workers who gave their time, support and provided us a sumptous lunch and to the community who embraced our activity 🥰

95 Heroes participated today's BLOOD LETTING activity, led by our very supportive Mayor Dra. Edreluisa Caloñge, as she donates her blood to save others life.

Donors are given free snacks and free tumblers as token of appreciation for their unwavering support.

Also, our warmest thanks to all the donors, RHU staff and volunteers and to the ZSP Blood Collecting Team for their effort and dedication.
