The Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) of Mabalacat City conducted its 3rd Quarter Meeting on September 28, 2026, at the Tabnuan Mabalacat Cultural Center, facilitated by the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).

The meeting focused on key matters concerning the implementation and monitoring of the City’s programs, projects, and activities, particularly the Utilization Status of the 20% Development Fund. The discussion provided an avenue to assess the progress of ongoing projects and identify necessary actions to ensure the timely and effective utilization of the fund.

Mr. Rosanno S. Paquia shared a message emphasizing the importance of the LPMC meeting and the collective responsibility of its members in working together toward the successful implementation and completion of the City’s programs and projects.

Meanwhile, CLGOO Dianne Lorin T. Tolentino actively participated in the meeting and underscored the importance of ensuring the proper and timely utilization of the 20% Development Fund, particularly in preparation for the SGLG assessment in the coming year. She likewise emphasized the need to further strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of the City’s infrastructure projects to ensure proper implementation, documentation, and compliance with established standards.

Through strengthened coordination, regular monitoring, and collective action, the LPMC continues to support the effective implementation of local development programs and projects toward responsive, accountable, and sustainable local governance.

Ipinamalas ng mga barangay ng Mabalacat City ang kanilang patuloy na pagsusumikap tungo sa mahusay na pamamahala at de-kalidad na paglilingkod sa kanilang mga nasasakupan sa isinagawang “PAMAGBUNYI 2026: Huwarang Barangay, Pamahalaang Kaagapay” Awarding Ceremony ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pampanga.

Dumalo sa nasabing programa si City Mayor Atty. Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino, kasama si CLGOO Dianne Lorin T. Tolentino ng DILG Mabalacat City Field Office, kung saan kinilala at ginawaran ng Certificate of Recognition ang mga Punong Barangay at Barangay Secretary ng mga barangay na matagumpay na nakapasa sa 2026 Barangay Excellent Service for Transformation (BEST) Program.

Binigyang-pansin sa programa ang mga 2026 BEST Barangay passers mula sa Mabalacat City, na kinabibilangan ng Barangay Macapagal Village, Mangalit, Mawaque, Poblacion, at Sapang Balen. Kasama rin sa pagkilalang ito ang Barangays Atlu-Bola, Bical, Bundagul, Camachiles, Duquit, Lakandula, Mabiga, Mamatitang, Sta. Maria, at Sto. Rosario, na patuloy na nagpakita ng mahusay na pagganap matapos makilala bilang 2025 at 2026 BEST Barangay passers.

Ang pagkilalang ito ay sumasalamin sa sama-samang pagsisikap ng mga barangay officials at personnel sa pagpapatupad ng mga pamantayan ng mahusay na pamamahala, maayos na pangangasiwa, at episyenteng paghahatid ng serbisyo sa kanilang mga komunidad.

Bukod sa BEST Barangay recognition, kinilala rin ang ilang barangay ng Mabalacat City sa iba pang mga larangan. Nakamit ng Barangays Dolores, Sta. Maria, at Sto. Rosario ang pagkilala sa Barangay Information Management System (BIMS) Awards para sa 100% encoded Barangay Inhabitants. Samantala, kinilala bilang 2025 BEST Barangay passers ang Sta. Ines at Sapang Biabas.

Ipinagmalaki rin ng lungsod ang pagkilala sa Barangay Sta. Ines bilang Provincial Winner sa Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards, habang nakamit naman ng Barangay Mabiga ang Provincial 1st Runner-Up at Barangay Sto. Rosario ang Provincial 2nd Runner-Up sa Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit.

Ang mga parangal na ito ay patunay ng patuloy na pagtutulungan ng City Government of Mabalacat, DILG Mabalacat City Field Office, at mga barangay sa pagsusulong ng mahusay, responsable, at makabuluhang pamamahala sa antas-barangay.

Malugod na pagbati sa lahat ng 2026 BEST Barangay passers at sa lahat ng kinilalang barangay ng Mabalacat City! Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang inyong tagumpay upang patuloy na isulong ang Huwarang Barangay at Pamahalaang Kaagapay para sa bawat Mabalaqueñan.

A significant milestone in the City Government of Mabalacat’s continuing efforts toward a safer, healthier, and drug-free community was achieved today, September 21, 2026 at the Conference Room, DILG Regional Office 3, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, as Barangay Lakandula was officially declared a Drug-Cleared Barangay by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

Representing the City Government of Mabalacat during the declaration were CLGOO Dianne Lorin T. Tolentino and PLTCOL Jose Charlmar F. Gundaya, Chief of Police, together with Hon. Jerrymie V. Dionisio, Punong Barangay of Lakandula.

This recognition reflects the collective efforts of the barangay officials, law enforcement agencies, concerned government offices, and the community in strengthening drug prevention, intervention, and peace and order initiatives at the grassroots level.

The DILG Mabalacat City Field Office congratulates Barangay Lakandula for this meaningful achievement and recognizes everyone who contributed to this important milestone. May this accomplishment inspire continued cooperation and sustained efforts in building safer, more peaceful, and drug-resilient communities across Mabalacat City.

The City Government of Mabalacat, through the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC), City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Mabalacat City Field Office, successfully concluded the 3-Day Capacity Building Initiative for Katarungang Pambarangay and Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs), entitled PROJECT PEACE: Peacebuilding and Enhancement Through Advanced Capacity Empowerment, on September 18, 2026, at The Orchard Hotel, Baguio City.

The third and final day of the initiative marked the culmination of three days of meaningful learning, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among the participating barangay officials and stakeholders. The activity provided an opportunity for the participants to strengthen their understanding and capabilities in promoting peace and order, enhancing community justice, and addressing drug-related concerns within their respective communities.

As part of the closing activities, the participants were awarded their Certificates of Participation in recognition of their active involvement and commitment throughout the capacity-building initiative. A photo opportunity was also conducted to commemorate the successful completion of the three-day activity and the shared commitment of the participants toward stronger and more empowered barangays.

The closing remarks were delivered by the Chief of Police of Mabalacat City Police Station, PLTCOL Charlmar Gundaya, who shared his message of appreciation and encouragement to the participants as they continue to fulfill their respective roles in maintaining peace, promoting justice, and supporting drug prevention efforts in their communities.

Through PROJECT PEACE, the City Government of Mabalacat continues to strengthen partnerships, empower barangay leaders, and promote collective action toward safer, more peaceful, and drug-free communities.

The City Government of Mabalacat, through the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC), City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Mabalacat City Field Office, continues the 3-Day Capacity Building Initiative for Katarungang Pambarangay and Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) under PROJECT PEACE 2026.

The second day of the initiative featured meaningful discussions and learning sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of barangay officials and stakeholders in promoting peace and order, strengthening community justice, and addressing drug-related concerns.

The morning sessions commenced with the presentation of the Referral for Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Program by CSWDO Ma’am Josephine B. Tanglao, followed by the discussion on the Status of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program of Mabalacat City by Police Major Katherine Maiso of the Mabalacat City Police Station. City Legal Officer Atty. Ponciano V. Dela Cruz Jr. also presented Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, providing participants with essential knowledge on the legal framework governing drug prevention and control. CLGOO Dianne Lorin T. Tolentino further presented the Training Needs Assessment of DILG with regard to Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO), highlighting the importance of continuous learning and capacity development among barangay leaders.

In the afternoon, the participants were honored with special messages from City Administrator Oscar Ian O. Deang Jr., City Vice Mayor and CPOC Vice Chairperson Hon. Marcos T. Castro Jr., and City Mayor and CPOC and CADAC Chairperson Hon. Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino, who shared their insights and encouragement in support of the initiative.

The second day concluded with the formulation of an effective Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council Plan of Action (BADPA), providing the participants with an opportunity to apply their learnings and develop concrete strategies toward a safer, more peaceful, and drug-free community.

Through continued collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strengthened barangay leadership, the City Government of Mabalacat remains committed to promoting peace, justice, and the well-being of its communities.
