HIGH-VALUE INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED IN ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS OPERATION

SUBIC, ZAMBALES — The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 3 (PNP DEG SOU 3), under the supervision of PCOL ARIEL A CAPOCAO, Commander, SOU 3, in coordination with the Subic Municipal Police Station, IMEG RO3, PDEU Zambales, and PDEA Zambales, successfully conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation in Brgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) and the confiscation of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱442,000.00.

The confiscated drug evidence was properly marked and inventoried in the presence of required witnesses and will be subjected to appropriate forensic examination and legal proceedings.

The arrested individual and seized evidence were turned over to the appropriate authorities for proper disposition.

HVI ARRESTED IN SUBIC, ZAMBALES; ₱442,000 WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

SUBIC, ZAMBALES — A buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 3 (SOU 3) resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) in Sitio Mapanao, Brgy. Asinan Proper, Subic, Zambales, at about 5:40 PM on August 15, 2026.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of ₱442,000.

The operation was carried out by PNP DEG SOU 3 led by PLT REX P. GING-AWAN, under the supervision of PCOL ARIEL A. CAPOCAO, SOU 3 Commander, in coordination with the Subic Municipal Police Station, IMEG RO3, PDEU Zambales, Maritime Unit III, and PDEA Zambales.

The seized drug evidence was properly marked and inventoried in the presence of required witnesses and will be submitted for forensic examination. The arrested suspect was subsequently turned over to the appropriate police unit for proper disposition.

The successful operation underscores the PNP DEG SOU 3’s continuing commitment to intensify its campaign against high-value drug personalities and the illegal drug trade in Central Luzon.

HVI ARRESTED IN SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY; ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, BULACAN — A joint buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 3 (SOU 3), together with the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station, IMEG RO3, and PDEA RO3, resulted in the arrest of a High Value Individual (HVI) in Brgy. Grace Ville, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan, at about 12:44 AM of August 13, 2026.

Confiscated during the operation were illegal drugs, along with the buy-bust money and one cellular phone.

The marking and inventory of the seized items were conducted at the place of operation in the presence of the required witnesses, including a media representative, elected public official, and DOJ representative.

The confiscated drug evidence will be turned over to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for examination, while the arrested individual was brought to the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station for proper disposition.

This successful operation highlights the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drugs and protect communities in Central Luzon.

HVI ARRESTED IN OLONGAPO CITY; ₱4.08 MILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

A High-Value Individual (HVI) was arrested by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit 3 (PNP-DEG SOU 3) during a successful buy-bust operation conducted along Anonas Street, West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City, Zambales, at 11:15 PM on July 26, 2026.

The operation was led by PNP-DEG SOU 3 under the supervision of PCOL ARIEL A. CAPOCAO, in coordination with Olongapo City Police Station 1, CDEU Olongapo, IMEG Regional Office 3, and PDEA Regional Office 3.

Authorities confiscated approximately 600 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱4,080,000.00, along with buy-bust money, a mobile phone, and other non-drug evidence.

The suspect will face charges for Violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The seized drug evidence will be submitted to the appropriate forensic laboratory for examination, while the arrested individual is under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.

This successful operation reflects the unwavering commitment of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group and its partner law enforcement agencies to intensify intelligence-driven anti-illegal drug operations and safeguard communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.

PNP NETS 7 IN ₱5.26-M SMUGGLING CRACKDOWN

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested seven individuals and confiscated ₱5,257,462.40 worth of suspected smuggled ci******es, equipment used in the manufacture and distribution of unlabeled cooking oil, and transport assets during separate anti-smuggling operations conducted on July 24, 2026 in Sarangani Province, Batangas, and Davao City. The operations also led to the identification of two other suspects who remain at large and are now the subject of ongoing police manhunt operations.

In Barangay Cupang, Bauan, Batangas, a joint operation by the PNP, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Municipal Health Office resulted in the arrest of a Filipino female of legal age involved in the alleged manufacture and distribution of unlabeled cooking oil products. Authorities confiscated assorted oil storage tanks, a refilling machine, a weighing scale, an Elf truck, and buy-bust money, with the seized equipment valued at ₱2,500,000.00. The alleged owner of the establishment was not present during the operation. Meanwhile, along the shoreline of Barangay Kanalo, Maasim, Sarangani Province, police arrested a Filipino male of legal age and confiscated 1,640 reams of suspected foreign-made smuggled ci******es without proof of lawful importation, valued at ₱1,402,462.40, together with two boats believed to have been used in transporting the contraband. Another suspect fled during the pursuit operation and remains the subject of follow-up police operations.

In Barangay Bago Aplaya, Talomo District, Davao City, authorities also arrested five Filipino males of legal age, including one identified only by the alias “Ungod Raf,” during a buy-bust operation that resulted in the confiscation of 15 master cases of suspected foreign-made smuggled ci******es without the required importation documents, valued at ₱1,355,000.00, including the marked buy-bust money. All arrested individuals and the confiscated evidence were placed under police custody for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.

“Smuggling sustains criminal networks, undermines legitimate businesses, and erodes respect for the rule of law. Our operations will remain focused on dismantling illegal supply chains and ensuring that those responsible face the full force of the law,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Hindi natin hahayaang kumita ang mga lumalabag sa batas habang nalalagay sa alanganin ang kabuhayan ng mga lehitimong negosyante at kaligtasan ng mga mamimili. Pananagutin natin ang mga sangkot sa smuggling saan man sila magtago,” he added.

PNP NABS 7 MOST WANTED FUGITIVES IN R**E, SEX-CRIME MANHUNT

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested seven (7) Most Wanted Persons facing r**e and other sexual offense charges in separate operations conducted on July 24 to 25, 2026, reinforcing its sustained campaign to bring fugitives accused of crimes against women and children before the courts.

The series of operations led to the capture of the No. 6 Regional Most Wanted Person in Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 wanted for two counts of Statutory R**e and Act of Lasciviousness, the No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person in PRO13 facing five counts of R**e; a Regional Most Wanted Person in Antipolo City, Rizal charged with R**e and Sexual Assault; another in Coron, Palawan facing three counts of Qualified R**e by Carnal Knowledge and violation of Section 10(a) of Republic Act No. 7610; another in Taytay, Rizal charged with R**e and two counts of Lascivious Conduct; another in Tanay, Rizal charged with Statutory R**e; and another in Calamba City, Laguna charged with R**e.

The arrests were carried out by various PNP operating units implementing warrants issued by the courts in coordination with other police units. All seven accused are now under the custody of their respective police units for documentation and proper legal disposition.

PNP BLOCKS ₱2.65-M ILLEGAL MINERAL ORE SHIPMENT, NABS DRIVER

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., foiled the illegal transport of ₱2.65 million worth of alleged unprocessed mineral ores and arrested a truck driver during an anti-illegal mining operation in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental on July 23, 2026, reinforcing the government’s campaign against the unlawful exploitation and transport of the country’s mineral resources.

A joint anti-illegal mining checkpoint operation by the 1002nd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, and other PNP operating and intelligence units in Misamis Occidental led to the interception of a green FUSO winged van at the Regional Border Control Point in Barangay Lilo-an, Bonifacio. The driver failed to present documents covering the cargo, prompting an inspection that resulted in the seizure of 530 sacks of alleged unprocessed mineral ores valued at ₱2,650,000.00, along with the truck used to transport them.

The 46-year-old Filipino male driver later admitted that he was transporting the alleged mineral ores and voluntarily opened the vehicle’s cargo compartment. He was brought to the Bonifacio Municipal Police Station for proper documentation, while charges for violation of Section 53 of Republic Act No. 7942, otherwise known as the Philippine Mining Act of 1995, are being prepared. The confiscated mineral ores remain under the temporary custody of the 1002nd Maneuver Company pending megascopic analysis and examination by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 10.

“Protecting our natural resources requires decisive law enforcement and unwavering vigilance. We will sustain our operations against those who exploit the country’s mineral wealth outside the bounds of the law,” PGEN Nartatez said.

44TH ASEANAPOL CONFERENCE OPENS, PROMOTING UNITY FOR A STRONGER ASEANAPOL COMMUNITY

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., welcomed Chiefs of Police and senior delegates from the ten ASEANAPOL Member Countries—Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam—as the Philippines officially opened the 44th ASEAN National Police (ASEANAPOL) Conference, reaffirming its commitment to stronger regional law enforcement cooperation.

Anchored on the theme, "United in Vision: Securing People and Strengthening Collaboration," this year's conference highlights the collective commitment of ASEAN police organizations to deepen cooperation, strengthen institutional partnerships, and enhance coordinated responses against transnational crime and other evolving security challenges confronting the region.

Hosted by the Philippines, the conference serves as ASEANAPOL's highest policymaking forum, providing an avenue for member police organizations to exchange best practices, reinforce operational collaboration, and discuss common strategies in addressing terrorism, cybercrime, human trafficking, illicit drug trafficking, financial crimes, environmental crimes, and other transnational offenses that transcend national borders.

The opening ceremony was graced by Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Juanito Victor C. Remulla as Guest of Honor and Speaker. Dialogue sessions with ASEANAPOL partners likewise underscored the importance of sustained cooperation and information sharing in addressing cross-border criminality.
