And the 2nd Best Docu-Vlog is… 🎉

CONGRATULATIONS to Kalahating Katawan, Buong Laban, a work by the Grade 11 HUMSS – Humility, for bagging the Silver Award in the 2026 Earth and Life Science Docu-Series Task!

This powerful piece tells the story of Tatay Marcelo—a devoted father whose life took an unexpected turn after acquiring a severe illness that led to the amputation of both his legs. Despite the overwhelming challenges, he chose acceptance over despair, courage over defeat. Embracing his reality, Tatay Marcelo continues to persevere each day, finding ways to provide for his family and live a life filled with purpose and resilience.

His story reflects the unifying themes in the study of life, particularly the concepts of adaptation, survival, and the interconnection between human experiences and biological realities. It reminds us that life is not only about physical wholeness but also about the strength of the human spirit in overcoming adversity.

Once again, congratulations to the creators of this truly inspiring piece! May your work continue to ignite awareness, empathy, and hope in the hearts of many. 🌱✨

And the 3rd Best Docu-Vlog is… 🎉

CONGRATULATIONS to Scraps that Sustain, a work by the Grade 11 HUMSS – Humility, for bagging the Bronze Award in the 2026 Earth and Life Science Docu-Series Task!

This compelling piece tells the story of Joanna’s resilience and hope as she transforms what others see as smelly scraps and discarded items into a means of dignified living—proving that even in the most overlooked corners of the community, life finds a way to thrive. Her journey powerfully reflects the unifying themes in the study of life: adaptation, interdependence, and the remarkable capacity for renewal.

This work is indeed a testament to how perseverance, creativity, and a deep connection to one’s environment can turn adversity into opportunity, inspiring others to see value where it is often ignored.

Once again, congratulations to the creators of this inspiring piece!

And the reels started rolling... 🎥 🎞️🎬

Here are glimpses from the first round of screening and evaluation of the official entries for the Earth and Life Science Docu-Series Task of the Grade 11 ABM, HUMSS, and TVL strands. Our STEM class served as the jury for this round, and as intended by the activity, the films sparked opinions, standpoints, and perspectives centered on the Unifying Themes in the Study of Life.

BEYOND MODELS & SIMULATIONS — EXPERIENCING ANATOMY UP CLOSE!
WARNING: Post contains graphic images.

While 3D models, demo clips, and virtual simulations are available for specimen dissection—an integral part of exploring and learning anatomy and physiology—our General Biology 2 class with Grade 11 STEM-Sincerity students still opted for the traditional approach. By consensus, they consider hands-on experiences a concrete and multisensory training ground in science education.

Rest assured, all ethical considerations were carefully observed before, during, and after the activity.

Indeed, the task benefited not only the students but also the teachers who observed the session, gaining insight into its context and purpose.
