The 48th National Disability Rights Week Celebration 2026

In observance of National Disaster Resilience Month, LGU Maasin City will conduct a Multi-Hazard Simulation Exercise today, JULY 24, 2026, around the City Hall premises and its immediate vicinities to test local emergency response protocols and overall city preparedness.

Drill Scenarios to be simulated:
1. Earthquake and Fire
2. Active Shooter
3. Bomb Threat and Explosion

What to Expect & Public Guidance:
1. Loud Sounds & Sirens: Simulated gunshots, controlled explosions, and continuous emergency vehicle sirens will be heard around the City Hall area.
2. Traffic Rerouting: Temporary traffic delays, minor congestion, and rerouting of roads leading to and surrounding City Hall.
3. Stay Calm, Do NOT Panic: This is strictly a drill. There is no actual danger or cause for public alarm.
4. Cooperation is requested: Drivers and pedestrians are requested to yield to emergency vehicles and follow instructions from traffic enforcers and safety personnel on duty.
