SOYMPH warmly welcomes our distinguished guests and partners as we begin discussions and preparations for the upcoming Surgical Mission for Southern Leyte in partnership with SGM – Sui Generis Mission.

We are honored by the presence of Justice Geraldine Faith Econg, Presiding Justice in Sandiganbayan; Ms. Cheyenne Kangleon, Nurse and Executive Assistant to Dr. Henry Chua; together with Gov. Damian G. Mercado , Provincial Administrator Engr. Nelson Tan, Dr. Ionne Castillones – Medical Center Chief I; PHO II, Dr. Feliciano John Matibag, Dr. Dennis Araña; Dr. Moonyeen Jann Balic; Mr. Lyndo Calva, Chief Nurse; Assistant Chief Nurse, Ms. Divina Uy and OIC Administrative Officer V, Mr. Joseph Duarte.

This urgent replenishment was made possible through the strong support of Governor Damian G. Mercado and Vice Governor Milai Mercado, alongside the dedication of Dr.Ionne Castillones, Medical Center Chief I of SOYMPH, who personally traveled to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Manila for the second time to secure supply ensuring that communities in Southern Leyte will not run out of critical treatment when it is needed most.

Today, Salvacion Oppus Yñiguez Memorial Provincial Hospital proudly celebrates its Medical Social Workers whose compassion and dedication embody this year's theme: "Co-Building and Harmony." Their tireless service ensures that healing extends beyond clinical care—embracing dignity, empathy, and holistic support for every patient and family.

The hospital extends its deepest gratitude to Dr. Ionne L. Castillones, Medical Center Chief I, for her unwavering support in fostering a culture of unity and holistic care; to Mr. Lyndo Salvador Calva, Chief Nurse; and to Mrs. Divina Uy, Assistant Chief Nurse, for their steadfast leadership and continued support in delivering patient-centered care.

Under the leadership of Ms. Leah L. Sotto, RSW, the Medical Social Service Office continues to exemplify excellence through a dedicated team committed to uplifting lives.
