The activity was attended by 𝙎𝙆 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 from different barangays across Maasin City, 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮. The program formally opened with a welcome message from 𝙈𝙧. 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙊. 𝙇𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙣, 𝙄𝘾𝙊 𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙍𝙈 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧, together with representatives from 𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙍–𝙀𝙈𝘽8–𝙋𝙀𝙈𝙐 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙮𝙩𝙚, including 𝙈𝙨. 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙍. 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙤, PEMU Head, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙍𝙝𝙚𝙮𝙣𝙤 𝘾. 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙖, and 𝙈𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙞 𝙋. 𝙐𝙮, Environmental Monitoring Officer.

𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 from the 𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙍 𝙀𝙈𝘽 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙈𝙨. 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝘾. 𝙇𝙞𝙚𝙢, Information Officer I, and 𝙈𝙧. 𝘿𝙚𝙤 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝘽. 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙯𝙤𝙣 Media Production Specialist I, shared valuable knowledge and insights on environmental protection and the vital role of the youth in driving community-based initiatives.

The program featured the session “𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨: 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨", which emphasized the importance of Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices (KAP) in promoting proper waste segregation and strengthening environmental awareness among young leaders. Through this, participants were encouraged to become proactive advocates and role models in their respective communities.

A workshop was also conducted where participants identified pressing environmental issues in their barangays and proposed practical and sustainable solutions to address them. This collaborative activity allowed the youth to actively engage in problem-solving and planning for real community impact.

To conclude the activity, a 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚-𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 was carried out, symbolizing the participants’ shared commitment to nurturing and protecting the environment for future generations. 🌱

Earlier today, a 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆/𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗠𝗔𝗢𝘀) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 3𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿, 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘅 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. The activity gathered agricultural officers, 4H Coordinators, and representatives from various municipalities, strengthening collaboration within the agricultural sector.

The meeting was attended by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗖. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 and joined by two 4𝗛 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 from Maasin: 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀, 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗵𝘂, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲, is an active member of the 4H Club.

The session served as a platform for presenting key agricultural programs and services. Among the major topics discussed were the distribution of coconut seednut to support local farmers, the finalization of preparations for the Agri-Aqua Fair and Garden Show 2026, and the 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 4𝗛 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀.

More importantly, the meeting emphasized the significance of youth participation in agriculture especially in the future planned activities.

Through this initiative, the committed leaders and officers reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger coordination, empowering youth involvement, and building a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Maasin City convened its 4th Regular Monthly Meeting for CY 2026 last April 15, 2026, at the Old SP Session Hall.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐊 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Maasin City successfully convened its monthly meeting yesterday, April 15, 2026, at the Old SP Session Hall, 3rd Floor.

The meeting was led by Hon. Francis Cejalbo, PPSK President, in coordination with Mr. Ray John O. Hatayna, LYDO Officer III. Also present was CLGOO Maureen Evita S. Balili of the DILG Maasin City, who provided valuable technical assistance and guidance throughout the discussions.

The federation warmly welcomed representatives from the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧) – 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘆𝘁𝗲, namely Ms. Diana E. Delima (Information Officer I), Ms. Matea Fretche G. Navora (Project Development Officer II), and Ms. Marian C. Go-Soco (Provincial Officer). They presented key initiatives including the PNPKI and ILCDB Project, as well as various DICT programs and services aimed at strengthening digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and technological empowerment among the youth.

In addition, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, 𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗔, shared important updates and programs focused on Out-of-School Youth (OSY), highlighting inclusive approaches to youth engagement, skills development, and community participation.

The meeting served as an essential platform for SK officials to discuss updates on ongoing and upcoming programs, projects, and activities. It also reinforced stronger coordination, collaboration, and unity among youth leaders in implementing impactful initiatives that promote holistic youth development in the city.

In line with the culminating celebration of Women’s Month, the 4𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 30–31, 2026, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗣𝗪𝗛 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝗔𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The activity was attended by the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, who is also a member of the 4H Club of Maasin, Hon. Crystal Jane Junco, together with fellow members Hon. Chanda Mae Arañez and Hon. Mariel Damole. They were accompanied by the 4H Coordinator of Maasin, Ma’am Grace Usi.

The symposium aimed to empower women in the agricultural sector by strengthening their knowledge, enhancing their skills, and encouraging active participation in sustainable agricultural practices. It also highlighted the significant contributions of women in promoting food security, environmental stewardship, and community development.

Moreover, the activity served as an inspiration for the youth to take an active role in agriculture. It emphasized that young people are vital partners in advancing innovative and sustainable farming practices. By engaging in agriculture, the youth can contribute to food sustainability, livelihood generation, and rural development while fostering a deeper appreciation for the importance of agriculture in nation-building.

The SOCA served as an important platform for transparency, accountability, and unity among local leaders and stakeholders. It strengthened collaboration and reinforced the shared vision of building a stronger, more resilient, and progressive Maasin City.

As youth leaders, we reaffirm our full support for the city’s programs and initiatives. We remain committed to actively participating in efforts that promote good governance, empower the youth, and contribute to the continued progress of our community.

The body also discussed the possible schedule of the next monthly meeting, considering the adjustments needed due to the Holy Week schedule.

Matters of importance concerning youth programs and initiatives were thoroughly addressed to ensure effective planning and implementation..

Out of 68 SK Chairpersons, 32 were present, and 36 were absent. Although the required quorum was not met, those in attendance actively participated in discussions and demonstrated their continued commitment to promoting youth welfare and community development in the City of Maasin.

Hon. Francis Cejalbo convened the SK Federation Officers’ Meeting today, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Legislative Office. The meeting was attended by the SK Federation officers together with SK representatives.

The gathering discuss updates, plans, and upcoming activities of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Maasin. It also provided an opportunity for the officers to strengthen coordination and collaboration in the implementation of programs and initiatives for the youth sector.
