Johann Jave Carta Lacaba, a dedicated youth leader from Barangay Poblacion, Maasim, Sarangani, has been officially selected as one of the delegates to the 18th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN), which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 29 to September 1, 2025.

All 16 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councils of Maasim have successfully submitted and encoded their Calendar Year 2024 Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Forms through the official SK Web Portal.

LOOK || On November 18, 2024, the Local Youth Development Office of Maasim holds a Youth Development Planning Session with SK representatives from all 16 barangays.

In his address, Mayor Zyrex C. Pacquiao expressed confidence in the youth's ability to create a prosperous future for their community. Mayor Pacquiao encouraged them to strive for progress and peace in their community.

“Paningkamuti ninyo kung unsa man ang inyong panglantaw sa inyong lugar, maging progresibo ug malinawon. Kung adunay maayong plano sa umaabot, dako kini og tabang sa sunod nga henerasyon,” Mayor Pacquiao said.

This program aims to help the youth strengthen their knowledge in creating plans with their shared vision and collaborative efforts.

𝐌𝐀𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐌!

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 02-2024-21 series of 2024, signed by Hon. Zyrex C. Pacquiao on October 28, 2024, the month of November 2024 was hereby declared as the Municipal Anti-Drug Awareness Month in the Municipality of Maasim.

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council of Maasim, together with the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Maasim Station, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Municipal Local Government Operations Office (MLGOO), Municipal Health Office, Department of Education (DEPED)- Maasim, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) of Sarangani Province and the (16) Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils of Maasim will be part of a month-long celebration that will commence on November 6 to November 27, 2023.
