CLFI donates ICT equipment to ALS Luna district

Luna, Apayao – Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) donated ICT equipment, teaching and learning resource materials to Alternative Learning System (ALS) Luna district at Luna Central School, Poblacion, Luna, Apayao on May 22.

CLFI aims to intensify its advocacy in promoting education in partnership with DepEd to support the implementation of ALS programs in the communities. On top of that, CLFI continues to extend its support to the communities to set up new ALS community learning centers through the provision of ICT tools and equipment, and reach out to more ALS teachers, out-of-school youth and adult learners.

This year, CLFI has chosen ALS Luna district to be the recipient of the following ICT equipment and learning resources:
1 unit laptop
2 units printer
1 unit projector with screen
1 unit Smart prepaid
10 pcs. Wifi load cards
1 unit Portable sound system

Schools division superintendent, Irene S. Angway, curriculum implementation division chief, Joy D. Saleng, local chief executive of Luna, Hon. Josephine M. Bangsil, public schools district supervisor of Luna, Jonathan B. Batara, division supply officer, Joselito C. Tabangcura, education program specialist II for ALS, Angeline D. Rumpon, district ALS coordinator of Luna, Celia N. Pelotin, and the ALS teachers of Luna district received the donations from CLFI representatives.

More partnership programs and projects are on deck to be implemented by ALS Luna district with CLFI.

May 8, 2023 - SDO Apayao ALS Section conducts Online Orientation on the Conduct of Presentation Portfolio Assessment (PPA) for Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Elementary and Junior High School (JHS) Learners for SY 2022-2023 (Year 4)

The activity aims to orient division PPA evaluators, inter-district revalidation team members, and ALS implementors on the conduct of ALS-PPA, and to address issues and concerns on the conduct of the ALS-PPA.

Participants to the activity are the education program supervisor for ALS, public schools district supervisors, education program specialists for ALS, designated school head-members of the inter-district revalidation teams, ALS teachers and community ALS implementors.

: Idinaos ng Philippine Commission on Women, UN Women, at UN Philippines ang Breaking the Code: Equality for All through Technology and Innovation kung saan isiniguro ni Vice President and Secretary Sara Z. Duterte na ang mga teenage mothers na nag-drop out para alagaan ang kanilang mga anak ay maaari pa ring magpatuloy ng kanilang pag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng Alternative Learning System.

Ang Breaking the Code: Equality for All through Technology and Innovation ay idinaos noong nakaraang March 8, 2023 sa Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City.
