Ang LGU Luisiana po ay isa sa siyamnapu’t apat (94) na Pamahalaang Lokal sa Rehiyon IV-A ang matagumpay na pumasa at nakamit ang Mataas na Antas ng Kakayahan sa 2025 Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) Functionality Assessment, para sa taong 2024.

Ang taunang pagsusuri ng LCAT-VAWC Functionality ay sumusukat sa pagganap ng mga pamahalaang panlalawigan, lungsod, at bayan batay sa mahahalagang pamantayan, kabilang ang:

•komposisyon ng komite,
• regular na pagsasagawa ng mga pagpupulong,
pagbabalangkas ng mga polisiya at plano,
• paglalaan ng badyet, at
• pangkalahatang mga nagawa.

Isang pagbati sa bumubuo ng Mswdo Luisiana sa tagumpay na ito. Sa suporta ni Mayor Jomapher Uy Alvarez, LCAT-VAWC, Department Heads, MLGOO RJ Justo at mga Punong Barangay — nawa’y patuloy nating makamtan ang komunidad kung saan ang mga kababaihan at bata ay ligtas, at malaya mula sa anumang uri ng karahasan!

June 20-21, 2024 I Advocacy Camp for Children and Youth 2024

The recent Advocacy Camp for Children and Youth, which took place on June 20-21, 2024, brought together young leaders from cities and municipalities across Laguna for a two-day event. The primary goal of the camp was to equip children with knowledge and skills. The camp was attended by officials from MCA Luisiana, including Joever Monticalbo (MCA President) and Myxie Monticalbo (PCF Representative). Additionally, BCA members Cheeney Dela Rosa and Justine Saludes were also present.

During the camp, attendees participated in a series of sessions delivered by speakers, each focusing on important issues facing today's youth. Niña Yasoña, RSW, led a discussion on Online Cyber Safety, highlighting the significance of security and responsible internet usage. Eightria Ubaldo, a Registered Nurse, addressed the topic of Teenage Pregnancy, offering insights and preventive strategies to guide young individuals in making informed choices.

PCPL. Ralph Callueng conducted a hands-on workshop on Basic Life Support, teaching attendees essential skills that could potentially make a difference in saving lives. In addition, the 202nd Brigade Philippine discussed the Community Information Awareness Approach Program (CIAAP), sharing insights on community engagement and awareness strategies to promote a sense of responsibility among the participants.

Apart from the sessions, the camp also focused on building unity and teamwork. An exciting solidarity night provided an opportunity for participants to bond through singing contests and various performances, while team-building activities promoted collaboration and fostered relationships among leaders.

LGU Luisiana, under the leadership of Mayor Hon. Jomapher Uy Alvarez, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Luibic R. Jacob, is grateful for endeavors like this, which have laid the foundation for a generation of changemakers who are ready to deal with challenges and champion meaningful advocacies. (MSWDO Luisiana)

𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟎𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 I 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐂𝐀-𝐁𝐂𝐀 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲

Naganap noong Disyembre 9, 2023 sa Barangay Zone IV Covered Court, Luisiana, Laguna, ang late celebration ng National Children’s Month 2023 na may temang “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All.” Kung saan nagtipon-tipon ang mga Barangay Children’s Association (BCA) Officers mula sa iba’t ibang barangay.

Ang pagdiriwang ng National Children's Month ay napakahalaga sa pagpapataas ng kamalayan tungkol sa mga karapatan ng mga bata. Pinangunahan ni Kim Joshua Meraña ang panalangin na nagbigay daan sa pagsisimula ng programa. Ang mensahe mula kay Joever Monticalbo, ang Pangulo ng Municipal Children's Association, ay nagbigay ng mainit na pagtanggap at pasasalamat sa mga kabataang naroroon.

Naging makabuluhan ang mensahe mula sa mga lider ng kabataan at lokal na pamahalaan. Si Mr. Duke Ezekiel Cuala, ang Sangguniang Kabataan President, ay nagbigay ng kanyang salita sa kahalagahan ng aktibong partisipasyon ng mga kabataan sa bayan. Sinundan ito ng mga mensahe mula kay Councilor Elaine E. Teope, Vice Mayor Luibic Jacob, at Mayor Jomapher U. Alvarez, na nagpahayag ng kanilang suporta sa mga programa para sa kabataan.

Nagbahagi ng isang mensahe si Mr. Kim Meraña tungkol sa anxiety at depression (tungkol sa mga dahilan nito), na naglalayon na magbigay-buhay at pag-asa sa mga kabataang may pinagdadaanan na mga hamon sa kanilang mental health. Sabi pa niya “Habang bata pa, establish good habits & set a good priorities.” Nagsagawa rin ng raffle at iba't ibang palaro na nagdala ng tuwa at saya sa mga bata at nagbibigay daan para sa pakikiisa sa isa't isa.

Sa pangunguna ng lokal na pamahalaan, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office - Luisiana, Laguna (MSWDO), Luisiana Federation of Child development Workers, Municipal Children's Association (MCA) at aktibong partisipasyon ng mga kabataan, ang selebrasyon ng NCM sa bayan ng Luisiana ay hindi lamang nagbigay ng ligaya kundi nagbigay diin sa kahalagahan ng papel ng mga kabataan sa lipunan.
