𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 | The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10 recognizes the highly functional Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADAC) of CY 2021. From the months of April until June 2022, all of the five (5) Provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) and their corresponding municipalities and barangays have undergone an intensive assessment of their ADAC’s functionality.

In Region 10, all of the five (5) Provinces, one (1) HUC, and seventy-one (71) Cities or Municipalities were identified as Highly Functional. The identified highly functional LGUs are eligible for the CY 2021 ADAC National Awarding Assessment. The said ADACs will be assessed in three (3) criteria, namely, BADAC Functionality, Drug Clearing, and Reduction of Drug Affectation.

The Philippine Anti-Illegal Drug Strategy (PADS) highlighted the use of a whole-of-nation approach in suppressing both the demand and supply of illicit substance use. Under PADS, the Department is tasked to enjoin all LGUs to revitalize and strengthen their respective Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs), and ensure its functionality and effectiveness. (𝘋𝘐𝘓𝘎 𝘓𝘎𝘔𝘌𝘋/ 𝘔.
