📢 CALL FOR ENTRIES: INFOGRAPHICS MAKING CONTEST

As part of the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM) Celebration, the Offices/Units of the Provincial Government of Quezon and Local Government Units (LGUs) are encouraged to showcase relevant statistics through creative and informative visualizations by participating in the Infographics Making Contest.

The contest has two categories:

1. LGU Category

📅 IMPORTANT DEADLINES

STEP 1 – Signify your intent to participate
All interested participants are requested to accomplish the Google Form on or before September 15, 2026, to officially signify their intent to join the contest.

STEP 2 – Submit your contest entry
After completing the Google Form, participants must submit the following:

• Infographics entry
• Accomplished Entry Form

Please submit both requirements via email to [email protected] on or before September 28, 2026.

📌 Please note: Accomplishing the Google Form by September 15 is for registration/confirmation of intent to participate. It does not constitute submission of the contest entry. The infographic and accomplished Entry Form must still be submitted via email by September 28, 2026.

The Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC) celebrated its 51st Anniversary through a tree-growing activity held on July 31, 2026, at Brgy. Ibabang Palale, Tayabas City.

The activity brought together OPPDC personnel in support of environmental conservation and the protection of our natural resources. It also provided an opportunity for the Office to mark this milestone through an initiative that contributes to the well-being of communities and the environment.

The initiative is aligned with the Provincial Government of Quezon’s Quality Policy to “promote sustainable development that ensures economic prosperity, social equity, and environmental well-being of Quezonians,” reflecting the Office’s commitment to supporting efforts that promote environmental well-being and sustainable development. 🌱🌳

The Provincial Development Council (PDC), through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), spearheaded the Provincial Development Council (PDC) Secretariat Training on July 30, 2026, at the St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center, Brgy. Isabang, Tayabas City, to enhance the competencies necessary to effectively support the Provincial Development Council in carrying out effective secretariat functions.

The training featured a series of technical sessions on the Local Development Planning System, meetings and logistics management, parliamentary procedures and meeting protocols, effective secretariat documentation, and the application of digital tools in meetings.

Through lectures, workshops, and interactive activities, participants strengthened their knowledge and practical skills in providing quality secretariat services in the PDC Full Council and Sectoral Committees.

The Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), serving as the Secretariat of the Comprehensive Development Plan Technical Assessment Committee (CDP-TAC), facilitated the technical assessment of the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of the Municipality of Sariaya for CY 2026-2031 on July 28, 2026, at St. Jude Coop Hotel and Events Center, Brgy. Isabang, Tayabas City.

The Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) is a medium-term, multi-sectoral development plan that outlines the priority sectoral and cross-sectoral programs, projects, and activities of the local government unit. The assessment aimed to evaluate the plan's completeness, technical soundness, and consistency with existing national policies and planning standards.

Members of the CDP Technical Assessment Committee (CDP-TAC), representing various provincial government offices and partner agencies, actively participated in the assessment by providing technical comments and recommendations to further enhance the municipality's development plan. The Office of the Sariaya Municipal Development Coordinator, headed by EnP Ronnie Lindog, also participated in the assessment.

The Province of Quezon, through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC) and in partnership with the Training Center of UPLB - Tropical Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability conducted a three-day Basic Geographic Information System (GIS) Training/Workshop (Batch 2) last July 8-10, 2026 at St. Jude Multipurpose Cooperative Hotel and Event Center.

This basic GIS workshop is designed to equip the 39 participants from various LGUs and Provincial Government of Quezon essential GIS skills. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of GIS principles and practical applications to enhance their work in critical areas such as urban planning, disaster management, environmental monitoring, infrastructure development and public safety. With the power of GIS, the participants will be introduced to the fundamentals using open-source software, better positioned to analyze spatial data, make informed decisions, and improve service delivery to the communities in Quezon Province.

The Comprehensive Development Plan–Technical Assessment Committee (CDP-TAC), with the Technical Assessment Committee Secretariat (TACS) through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), conducted the Plenary Desk Assessment of the Municipality of Buenavista's Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) 2024–2029 on June 23, 2026, at St. Jude Coop Hotel and Events Center, Katang, Tayabas City.

The activity ensured that the municipality's CDP is technically sound, responsive to local development needs, and aligned with national planning standards. As the LGU's primary multi-sectoral development plan, the CDP serves as the blueprint for implementing strategic programs, projects, and policies that will guide the municipality's development.

The assessment was conducted pursuant to Executive Order No. DHT-25, Series of 2025, reconstituting the CDP-TAC and TACS for the assessment of the Comprehensive Development Plans of component cities and municipalities.
