Kasama ang City Agriculture Office – Lucena, nagsagawa ng after-sales service compliance activity sa mga benepisyaryo upang masiguro na ang mga supplier ng mga ipinagkaloob na makinarya ay sumusunod sa PNS/PABES 192:2024 o ang Guidelines on After-Sales Service.

As part of the City Agriculture Office's continuing livestock extension and animal health services, a field assessment and follow-up monitoring were conducted at Grandpa's Farm, operated by Ouans, following reports of mortality among its free-range native chicken flock.

An initial farm visit was conducted to assess the situation, identify possible contributing factors, and provide recommendations on proper flock management, monitoring, and biosecurity measures. Coordination with the City Veterinary authorities was likewise encouraged to ensure proper evaluation and response.

During the follow-up monitoring conducted six days after the initial visit, no additional mortalities were recorded, no sick birds were observed, and the flock exhibited normal feeding, drinking, and activity patterns. The birds likewise showed good overall condition, indicating a positive recovery trend within the farm.

The City Agriculture Office remains committed to supporting our livestock raisers through timely field monitoring, technical assistance, and the promotion of sound animal health and biosecurity practices to help ensure healthy and productive livestock enterprises in Lucena City.

β™»οΈπŸŒ± A look back at the DA-BSWM Soil and Water Resources Research Division's visit to Lucena City as part of their research project on compost quality, shelf-life, and the economic and environmental benefits of compost derived from biodegradable wastes.
Prior to the field activities, the DA-BSWM technical team paid a courtesy call to the City Agriculture Office of Lucena, led by OIC-City Agriculturist Jirah Lou R. Merano, before proceeding to Ouan's Farm Resort, one of the identified sites for data gathering and assessment.
The visit included the monitoring and evaluation of compost produced through the Rotary Composter Facility, contributing valuable information to ongoing efforts in promoting Circular Agriculture, sustainable waste management, and the production of quality organic soil amendments.
We are honored to have been part of this important initiative and grateful for the support and coordination of the City Agriculture Office of Lucena and DA-BSWM.

Bilang suporta sa pagpapatupad ng EcoJail Garden Project ng Lucena City District Jail – Female Dormitory, matagumpay na nagsagawa ang City Agriculturist Office ng isang Seminar on Urban Gardening para sa mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) bilang bahagi ng kanilang mga programang rehabilitasyon.

Tinalakay sa seminar ang mahahalagang paksa tulad ng mga klase ng gulay, iba't ibang uri ng gulayan, pagpaplano ng gulayan, wastong paghahanda at pagtatanim ng binhi, pangangasiwa ng taniman, at mga pamamaraan sa pagkontrol at pamamahala ng mga insekto at peste.

Layunin ng aktibidad na mapalawak ang kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga kalahok sa pagtatanim ng gulay upang maisulong ang seguridad sa pagkain, produktibong paggamit ng oras, at paghahanda sa mga oportunidad sa kabuhayan sa kanilang muling pagbabalik sa komunidad.

Patuloy na nakikiisa ang City Agriculturist Office sa mga programang nagtataguyod ng sustainable agriculture at rehabilitasyon sa pamamagitan ng paghahardin at produksyon ng pagkain.
