The Philippines renews its commitment to protect communities from the harms of illegal drugs through this year’s International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) with the global theme:

“The evidence is clear: Invest in prevention. Break the cycle.”

Illegal drugs are linked to serious crimes like human trafficking, illegal weapons, and corruption. To stop this cycle, we must act early, act smart, and act together.

In line with the Marcos administration’s more humane approach, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) focuses on prevention—starting in our homes, schools, and communities. Every Filipino is encouraged to help build safer, healthier, and more hopeful communities, especially for the youth.

📌 The announcement of the IDADAIT 2025 celebration was made during the PADAC 2nd Quarterly Meeting held on June 26, 2025, at the PPDC Conference Room. The DILG and PADAC Secretariat informed C/MADAC Focal Persons and PADAC Members about the observance and its importance.

November 25-26, 2024 || The DILG Quezon, in collaboration with the Quezon Provincial Police Office, PDEA Quezon, and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council, conducted the SICAP-BADAC 3.0 roll-out on November 25-26, 2024, at the Old Capitol Building, Lucena City.

Attended by DILG Field Officers, LGU ADAC Focal Persons, Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Barangay Members, and Barangay Secretaries, the program aimed to strengthen barangays’ capacity in intelligence gathering and reporting. This initiative strengthens BADAC’s role as a community-level intelligence network supporting law enforcement in combating illegal drugs.

August 30, 2024 || " Young Voices, Strong Choices" Anti-illegal Drugs Caravan 2024 || Sariaya, Quezon

The Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) of Quezon conducted "Young Voices, Strong Choices" Anti-Illegal Drugs Caravan last August 30, 2024 in Sariaya, Quezon, in collaboration and support of Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) of Sariaya, Quezon, with our partner agencies, including PDEA-Quezon, Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO), DILG-Quezon, and the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), all of whom expertly shared their knowledge and advocacy against drug abuse among the youth.

The event was attended by Katipunan ng Kabataan and Sanguniang Kabataan members from various barangays of Sariaya, Quezon.

The Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) of Quezon recognizes the pivotal role that the youth play in shaping the future of our communities. This initiative aligns with our unwavering commitment to combat illegal drug abuse and empower young individuals to make informed, healthy choices.

The "Young Voices, Strong Choices" Anti-Illegal Drugs Caravan aims to inspire and mobilize the youth of Quezon Province to stand firmly against illegal drugs. The Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) of Quezon launched the first-ever "Young Voices, Strong Choices" Anti-Illegal Drugs Caravan 2024 last August 23, 2024, in Pagbilao, Quezon, in collaboration and support of Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) of Pagbilao, Quezon.

This event marked a collaborative effort with our partner agencies, including PDEA-Quezon, Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO), DILG-Quezon, and the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), all of whom expertly shared their knowledge and advocacy against drug abuse among the youth.
