𝐀𝐌𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘: AMTEC welcomed the freshmen students of the UPLB Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BS ABE) today, July 27, 2026, through an educational tour organized by the UP Society of Agricultural Engineering Students (UP SAGES).

The activity aimed to introduce freshmen to the Center and provide an overview of its laboratories, facilities, and services that support research, testing, and innovation in agricultural mechanization.

The tour began with an introduction by Mr. Marc Noel G. Bathan and Engr. Lady Hannah R. Yap. This was followed by a tour of the Sample Analysis Laboratory (SAL), led by Engr. Monaliza G. Monfero and Engr. Primo Jr. III T. Lorzano, with assistance from Engr. Apryl Erika R. Talosig.

Meanwhile, the Instruments Room was presented by Engr. Angelito R. Manumbali, assisted by Engr. Shaira D. Kaharian. The tour concluded at the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Studies (AMaTS) Laboratory, where Engr. Nur B. Damance, Engr. Arnie C. Aningat, and Engr. Aila Marie S. Hipulan introduced the laboratory stations and their functions.

Through activities such as this, the Center continues to promote knowledge sharing and provide students with valuable exposure to agricultural mechanization. More importantly, it hopes to inspire freshmen to develop a deeper appreciation of the field and its vital role in advancing Philippine agriculture.
