𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭-𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧

From May 5-9, 2025, Ms. Trina Mae Amparo and Mr. Jordan Navallo, NSAP Data Analysts for 𝘙𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘎𝘶𝘭𝘧, conducted a spot-checking activity in Tagkawayan, Quezon. The landing centers in Brgy. Rizal, Poblacion, Aldavoc, and Magsaysay were visited to observe and assess the performance of NSAP Data Enumerators Ms. Edna Moreno and Mr. Oliver Almonte.

Daily operations at the site were monitored, fishing gears in use were documented through photographs, and key fish species being landed were identified. The top species caught in each area were determined, and actual samples were verified as part of the data collection for CY 2025.

From March 31-June 4, 2025, Ms. Trina Mae Amparo and Mr. Jordan Navallo, NSAP Data Analysts for 𝘙𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘎𝘶𝘭𝘧, conducted a spot-checking activity in San Narciso and Buenavista, Quezon. The landing center in Brgy. Abuyon, San Narciso was visited to observe and assess the performance of NSAP Data Enumerators Ms. Mary Ann Ferrer and Ms. Liezel Fontamillas. Spot-checking was also carried out at the landing sites in Brgy. Sabang Piris and Brgy. Manlana in Buenavista, where the performance of NSAP Data Enumerator Ms. Rosevie Begino was evaluated.

Daily operations at each site were monitored, with documentation of the fishing gears in use and identification of key fish species being landed. The top species caught in each area were determined, and actual samples were verified as part of the data collection activities for Calendar Year 2025.

FMA 12 SAG Head Secretariat and TWG Alternate Focal visited NSAP Region 1 on May 20, 2025, to work on IUU fishing data computation in support of HCRs and HCMs for Bali Sardines in Tayabas Bay.
