🏳️‍🌈 Kicking off Pride Month with a commitment to safe, inclusive, and respectful workplaces!

1 June 2026-The UPLB Department of Civil Engineering (DCE) organized a Joint Pre-Internship Seminar. Designed to prepare our civil engineering students before they deploy into the professional world, today's sessions focused heavily on building appropriate, safe, and progressive workplace conduct.

Our students gained invaluable insights from our topic experts:
Gender Sensitivity in the Workplace by Ms. Genesis Giselle Talatala-Baseleres (UPLB-GC)
Anti-Sexual Harassment in the Workplace by Dr. Ana Katrina P. de Jesus (UPLB OASH)

As we celebrate Pride Month, we are equipping students help build inclusive, respectful, and safe environments for everyone.

STEP IT UPLB: Walk with Pride starts this June!

The UPLB Gender Center, in partnership with the UPLB Institute of Human Nutrition and Food, continues its commitment to promoting health and well-being in the UPLB community through healthy walking.

This June, we celebrate Pride Month by combining wellness, inclusivity, and community spirit through a month-long walking challenge. Everyone is invited to join our Community Walks (tba), where participants are encouraged to wear the designated Pride-themed dress code or accessory for a chance to win special tokens and prizes.

As an added incentive, the first 80 participants who successfully complete a total of 75 kilometers during the challenge period will receive an exclusive Finisher Shirt.

Let's take steps toward a healthier and more inclusive community—one walk at a time.
