𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐨-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄!

In management, we recognize the value of every role and contribution at all levels of an organization. Whether the work happens in the forefront or behind the scenes, each task helps keep things moving. It is the collective work of everyone across the organization that makes DAME what it is today.

Their work may not always be in the spotlight, but their contributions are felt in so many ways. DAME works because people work together, and our Ates and Kuyas are an important part of that collective effort.

Today, we give the 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄!

From assisting and answering student inquiries to providing administrative support, handling procurement and budgeting, preparing documents, coordinating, and taking care of the many things that need to be done each day, our Ates and Kuyas are always there to help.

Thank you for all that you do for DAME! We appreciate all of you.

The Department joined the 24th MAP International CEO Conference on September 8, 2026, at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, themed “In the Age of Flux: Scaling the Next Inflection Points.” The conference featured discussions on ASEAN’s changing role in the global economy, emerging technologies, and building organizational resilience and agility, with insights from business leaders and experts including Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Japan Centre; Mr. Stavros Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of Oncade; and Mr. Dallas Dolen, Board Member and TMT Leader, PwC US.

As part of our commitment to continuous faculty development, DAME values opportunities that keep our faculty updated on emerging trends and developments in the business environment, strengthening their competencies in understanding opportunities, assessing risks, and responding to change.

We also had the pleasure of having DAME Adjunct Faculty, former UP President, and Member of UP Board of Regent, Dr. Alfredo E. Pascual, at the conference, where he had a groupie with our faculty members.

We thank the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) for this valuable opportunity for learning and professional development. This initiative is aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education, supporting continuous learning and the professional development of educators.

With our quality assurance efforts in place, these are the people behind each cluster as we continue improving how we teach, deliver, and support learning across our courses in DAME.

Meet the F.I.C.s of DAME for the 1st Semester, A.Y. 2026–2027, bringing their expertise and experiences into actual teaching and creating better learning experiences for our students.

As the semester goes by, we hope to see these efforts translate into improvements in the classroom and in the way our students learn!

The Department is immensely proud of Mr. Cesar Mario O. Mamon, a 1976 DAME alumnus, for being recognized as one of the five 2026 UPLBAA Golden Jubilarian Awardees.

Fifty years of honor, excellence, and service; truly a remarkable feat that continues to inspire and make the whole UPLB community proud.

As the first Asian to serve as Chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Mr. Mamon also brought global recognition to the Philippines in the theme park and attractions industry, contributing to its growth and inspiring innovation in entertainment and tourism.

We are so inspired and we celebrate such achievement of this well-deserved recognition and the enduring legacy of one of our distinguished alumni.

As the tagline of Enchanted Kingdom goes, may the magic live with us forever. ✨

We are very proud of this accomplishment, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff in creating value for our students, stakeholders, and the nation.

We also celebrate our DAME alumna, Ms. Jean Pauline Belarmino-Landicho, who served as the event’s keynote speaker and was recognized as one of the 2026 Outstanding Alumni of CEM, alongside Ms. Christina Gracia Rola-McKernan, also a graduate of the B.S. Agribusiness Management program.

Faculty members and staff were likewise recognized for their 10- and 15-year commitment and service to the Department and the University, marking significant milestones in their careers in the academe.

Congratulations as well to the UP Agribusiness Society for receiving the 2026 Best Student Organization Award, in recognition of their commitment to organizing impactful activities throughout the past year. The organization also honored Assoc. Prof. Jeanette Angeline B. Madamba with the UP Agribusiness Society Outstanding Alumna Award, recognizing her continued contributions and achievements as an alumna of the organization.

What better way to celebrate the 107th year of CEM than by supporting local enterprises through the CEM Expo where our DA-YFC startup awardees, entrepreneurs, and local agricultural associations sell their products for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re around, please drop by and show the Elbi support! Check out their products and grab something to take home.

Come celebrate with us and support our DAME alumni as we mark the 107th Founding Anniversary of the College of Economics and Management!

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠?

We asked our freshies to share their thoughts, first impressions, and experiences about the University and their new home in DAME.

During the DAME Freshie Orientation 2026 last August 17, we took some clips to hear what our freshies had to share! Now, we want to maintain this good first impression by ensuring we do our part for our students.

Welcome to DAME, Freshies! Good luck on your journey!

The Department proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of our students in the Young Farmers’ Challenge (YFC) Provincial Level for Region IV-A!

With six innovative enterprise ideas led by 10 BS ABME students, our students emerged as provincial winners, demonstrating their entrepreneurial innovations as value-adding solutions for the agricultural sector.

Each winning enterprise received ₱80,000, bringing the cohort’s total winnings to an impressive ₱480,000, which will serve as seed capital for their respective start-ups.

But we’re not done yet! As we await the results from the other provinces and regions, we remain hopeful and excited for our students who are currently competing in other categories.

Congratulations to the Entrepreneurship Cluster led by Asst. Prof. Rei Chino C. Pua and all of the DAME faculty involved. Off to the Regionals! Let's go, Entreps!

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐚! 🌻

The Department is immensely proud to welcome Ms. Aira Joy M. Anyayahan to its growing roster of faculty.

A UPLB alumna who graduated magna cm laude and ranked Top 1 in the November 2025 Agriculturists Licensure Examination (ALE), Ms. Aira made history with her 92.18% rating, the highest rating recorded in the history of the Agriculturists Licensure Examination.

We are confident that Ms. Aira will contribute meaningfully to the exemplary standards we are continuing to build at DAME now, further strengthening the quality of services we provide to our stakeholders, most especially our students.

For the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, starting on August 24, 2026, Ma’am Aira will be teaching ABME 103 (Agribusiness Systems and Modalities), MGT 101 (Concepts and Dynamics of Management), and ABME 10 (Foundations of Entrepreneurship) and NSTP2.
