LOOK || Bravo Company, 403rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, actively participated in the celebration of National Heroes Day 2026 held simultaneously in San Pedro City, BiΓ±an City, and Sta. The participation of Bravo Company in these commemorative activities reflects its unwavering commitment to remember, honor, and emulate the values of our national heroesβ€”courage, patriotism, selflessness, and love of country.

Beyond commemorating the sacrifices of those who came before us, the occasion also serves as a reminder that heroism continues in the present. It can be demonstrated through service to the community, readiness during disasters and emergencies, protection of lives and property, and the willingness to serve whenever and wherever the nation needs us.

Bravo Company remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the spirit of β€œService to the Nation, Service to the Community.” As Laang Kawal, we continue to prepare, train, and stand ready to contribute to the safety, security, and resilience of our communities.

LOOK || One of the personnel of Bravo Company, 403rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (403rd RRIBn), under the leadership of MAJ ROGIE M MENDOZA PA (RES), did a heroic act where he immediately responded to an emergency involving an 11-year-old child who was drowning in a river at Brgy. Dela Paz, BiΓ±an City, Laguna last 19 August 2026.
Upon becoming aware of the incident, Pvt Rafael Jerisano PA (Res), immediately took action and proceeded to the area to assist the distressed child. Demonstrating courage, presence of mind, and commitment to the preservation of life, he successfully rescued the child from the river and brought the victim to a safer location. CPR was subsequently performed as part of the immediate life-saving response, while efforts were undertaken to ensure the child's safety and prevent further danger.

The prompt and decisive actions of Pvt Jerisano exemplify the importance of the Water Survival, Search and Rescue (WASAR) and other rescue-related training conducted by Bravo Company. Such training equips reservists with the knowledge, skills, discipline, and confidence necessary to respond effectively during emergencies particularly when every second can mean the difference between life and death.

This incident is a clear manifestation that training becomes meaningful when it is translated into action in service of others. The courage displayed by Pvt Jerisano reflects the very purpose of developing highly trained and dependable Philippine Army Reservists who are prepared to respond not only during military or security operations, but also during disasters, accidents, and life-threatening emergencies within their communities.

Pvt Rafael Jerisano PA (Res), is a 3rd year student of Guardians Bonafide for Hope Foundation Inc. (GBHFI) and also an Advance Cadet Officer of its ROTC Unit. The Bravo Company commends him for his bravery, initiative, and dedication to saving a life. His actions demonstrate the values expected of a Philippine Army Reservist, courage in the face of danger, integrity in the performance of duty, selflessness in serving others, and readiness to act whenever and wherever needed.

His heroic response serves as an inspiration to his fellow reservists and to the community, proving that a trained reservist is not merely a force multiplier, but a potential lifesaver when the nation and its people need help the most.
