𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Cities/Municipalities Management Coordinating Council (C/MMCC) successfully held its regular meeting at the Biñan Congressional District Office, Brgy. Poblacion, City of Biñan, Laguna.

The activity was graced by Hon. Arman R. Dimaguila Jr., Lone District Representative of the City of Biñan and Hon. Antonino A. Aurelio, Vice Mayor of Rizal, Laguna, representing Hon. Sol Aragones, Governor of Laguna. An opening remarks, preceding the call to order, was delivered by Cluster Head Maria Lorilyn V. Manrique of DILG Laguna Cluster A. Presentation of accomplishment reports and updates from distinguished guests followed: PLCOL Sandro Jay Dela Cruz Tafalla (PNP Laguna), JSUPT Reyno M. Damaso (BJMP Laguna), FSSUPT Rowena Hernandez Gollod (BFP Laguna), Atty. Joicel C. Sopeña (NAPOLCOM CALABARZON), Atty. Evangeline C. Monteza (IBP Laguna), Reynaldo D. Benzon (PDEA Laguna), COL Alexander M. Arbolado (Philippine Army) and DRD Allan Hencel U. Campos (NICA RIV-A) and Orientation of Implementation of ULAS as the highlight of the activity presented by the special guest Atty. Evangeline C. Monteza, IBP President Laguna Chapter.

The meeting ended with positive remarks from Lenie R. Bautista, CLGOO of DILG Biñan.

Consultative with DILG Laguna Cluster A, LSPU San Pablo City Campus and selected Barangay Treasurers on Automation of Barangay Treasurers’ Transactions and Reports / E-Pananalaping Pambarangay

A preliminary and notable meeting is being established at the moment with Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) as member of MSAC under LGRC to put emphasis on the discussion of an automated system development and future application for Barangay Treasurers' Transactions and Reports. This session shares how modern digital solutions are improving efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial reporting.

Participants are openly exchanging ideas, sharing fixed practices, and drafting a plan of attack to streamline processes and improve reporting systems for the benefit of public service. Though still being discussed, this effort already illustrates a right commitment to innovation, collaboration and improvement in governance. Targeting specifically the Barangay Full Disclosure Policy Reports generation and other required barangay financial reports amongst other system processes

DILG Laguna Cluster A successfully conducted its Cluster Meeting on April 7, bringing together key personnel for coordination, updates, and strengthened collaboration.

The activity was led by Cluster Head Maria Lorilyn V. Manrique, with the presence and message of Provincial Director Jay Beltran, highlighting the importance of unity and continuous commitment in delivering effective public service. Also present was LGMES-OIC Chief Hannah Krystel R. Castro, contributing to the productive discussion and engagement of the cluster.

This meeting reflects DILG’s dedication to fostering synergy and ensuring aligned efforts toward responsive and efficient local governance.

The Municipal Government of Los Baños spearheaded by the Local Youth Development Office, conducted the Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training (SKMT) as part of the continuing capacity development efforts for newly elected youth officials. DILG Laguna - Cluster A Head, Maria Lorilyn V. Manrique discussed the module one (1) entitled Decentralization and Governance lecture. The training was held on February 11, 2026 at Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipal Hall of Los Baños, Laguna.
