Today, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Looc conducted its monthly meeting, bringing together the SK Chairpersons of the municipality to discuss important matters concerning the youth and the community.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the proposed “Looc Tech-Hub,” a collaborative initiative in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Office of Congressman Atty. Eleandro Jesus “Budoy” F. Madrona, and the Local Government Unit of Looc, headed by Hon. Mayor Lisette Medina-Arboleda.
The proposed Tech-Hub aims to provide the youth with greater access to technology, digital resources, learning opportunities, and skills development, especially for those who may have limited access to computers and other digital facilities.
The project will utilize a clustered approach, bringing together neighboring barangays to maximize the use of resources and ensure that more young people can benefit from the program.
The SK Federation also discussed other programs, concerns, and upcoming activities aimed at strengthening youth participation and creating more meaningful opportunities for the young people of Looc.
Through collaboration among the SK Federation, barangays, LGU Looc, DICT, and the Office of Congressman Budoy Madrona, we continue to work toward a more digitally empowered, informed, and future-ready youth of Looc.
This is more than just a tech hub—it is an investment in the future of our youth.
