Health Services Highlight Opening Block Activities of Loacan National High School
A total of 392 learners of Loacan National High School (LNHS) benefited from free physical examinations and dental check-ups conducted as part of the schoolβs opening block activities on June 9 and 10, 2026 at DepEd Tayo Loacan National High School.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Itogon Municipal Health Services Office (MHSO) under the leadership of Dr. Oliver P. GuadaΓ±a, with dental health services led by Dr. Aurora C. Cuilan and Dr. Lorna Saculles. The activity aimed to ensure that students begin the academic year in good health while promoting awareness of proper hygiene and preventive care.
The successful implementation of the program was made possible through the strong partnership with Barangay Loacanβs Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT), under the leadership of Barangay Kagawad Ramos Pay-an Sr., Committee on Health, along with the LNHS Clinic, managed by Maβam Naomi Pay-an.
During the activity, learners received comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and dental services, helping identify and address common health concerns early on. The program underscored the importance of accessible school-based health initiatives in supporting studentsβ overall well-being and academic readiness.
The organizers extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated team whose efforts made the activity successful:
