♟️ Free Chess Training Day 2 ♟️

Day 2 of our free chess training wrapped up successfully with another round of enthusiastic learners from Barangay Cinco! Coach-jhunnie Tan continued to guide the youth through deeper strategies and techniques, helping everyone sharpen their skills while having fun. It’s inspiring to see the passion and progress of our young players as they take each lesson seriously and enjoy the game together. Stay tuned and keep practicing—more opportunities to grow and play are on the way!

Free chess training happened today with great participation from the youth of Barangay Cinco, all eager to learn and improve their skills. Under the expert guidance of Coach-jhunnie Tan, everyone had the chance to explore new strategies and enjoy a fun, supportive environment.

If you missed today’s session, don’t worry because you can still join us tomorrow for Day 2. This training is open to all the youths of Barangay Cinco who want to learn and grow in chess.

As part of the 78th Cityhood Anniversary and the 420th Foundation Anniversary of Lipa City today, June 20, 2024 (Friday), SK Officials participated in a Citywide Clean-Up Drive, along with SK Scholars, TUPAD beneficiaries, 4Ps members, TUGON representatives, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Senior Citizens, and Barangay Officials and Functionaries.

The clean-up drive, held from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM in various areas of Lipa City, was led by Mayor Eric B. Africa. The activity aimed to support efforts in maintaining cleanliness and preparing the city for the rainy season.

The activity served as a collaborative effort involving various sectors of the community, reflecting a shared commitment to maintaining a cleaner and more organized urban environment for all residents.

PROJECT KARUNUNGAN 2025
As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration and this year’s Brigada Eskwela, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Cinco (05) successfully carried out Project Karunungan 2025, a school supplies distribution activity held last Tuesday, June 3.

This yearly project aims to support young learners by providing them with basic school needs before the new school year starts. SK Chairperson Trisha Loriane Reyes, together with SK Councilors Marc Justin Davalos, Arianeangel Sangalang, Chelsy Anne Daphne Laygo, and SK Treasurer Franzine Claire Padillo, personally visited and handed out Karunungan Kits to preschool and elementary students living along CB Lopez, TM Kalaw, V. Malabanan, J.M. Kalaw, A. Mabini, and P. Torres Streets.

Through this initiative, the SK hopes to ease the burden of school expenses and inspire the youth to continue their studies with excitement and confidence.
