2026 Division Schools Press Conference Held in Lipa City
The 2026 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) is being held at Pinagkawitan Elementary School in Lipa City, spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Lipa City under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Mr. Homer N. Mendoza.
Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa graced the event and delivered a message of support and encouragement to the young campus journalists from various public and private schools across the city.
The conference aims to showcase and further develop the learners’ talents, skills, and knowledge in various fields of journalism.
The competitions include various writing events such as News Writing, Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, Sports Writing, Science and Technology Writing, Column Writing, and Copyediting and Proofreading, as well as Editorial Cartooning, Photojournalism, Mobile Journalism, Radio and TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting, Collaborative Desktop Publishing, and Online Publishing.
The Division Schools Press Conference also serves as an important avenue for preparing learners for the JournCamp of Regional Schools Press Conference, where they will have the opportunity to represent Lipa City and demonstrate their skills at a higher level of competition.
Through programs such as this, young campus journalists are continuously nurtured to become responsible, critical, creative, and competent communicators who are committed to delivering truthful, relevant, and meaningful information.
