The Local Government Unit of Lingayen, through the Local Youth Development Office, and in partnership with the Office of Mayora Iday Castaรฑeda , Office of the Vice Mayor Jay Mark Kevin "JM" Dela Cruz Crisostomo, Municipal Information Office - Lingayen, Pangasinan, Lingayen Tourism Office, and Civil Society Organization will be conducting a multimedia feature project named LINGAWEN: KABATAAN NG LINGAYEN INSPIRING STORIES 2026.
The Lingayen Youths possess remarkable and inspiring stories of perseverance, leadership, innovation, volunteerism, academic excellence, and community service. Lingawen, a Pangasinan word which means to look back, and from which the name โLingayenโ came. In terms of our advocacy, it means looking back at the stories behind the success of these Lingayenense youths. The stories that often remain untold despite their potential to inspire fellow young people and strengthen community pride. Their tales should be shared by resilient students and cultural preservationists, creative young entrepreneurs, and grassroots community organizers.
To recognize and promote ten inspiring stories of youth from Lingayen who have demonstrated excellence, resilience, leadership, and positive impact in their communities.
โข To identify ten outstanding youth individuals with inspiring life experiences and achievements.
โข To document and share their stories through various media platforms.
โข To strengthen community appreciation of youth contributions to local development.
This multimedia feature project, "LINGAWEN: KABATAAN NG LINGAYEN INSPIRING STORIES" is to find, record, and share the tales of ten remarkable young people (ages 15 to 30) from different barangays in Lingayen, Pangasinan. This campaign seeks to encourage the larger Pangasinense youth to strive for excellence and active citizenship by showcasing their victories against hardship and their contributions to the community.
