The Local Government Unit of Lingayen, through the Local Youth Development Office, and in partnership with the Office of Mayora Iday Castañeda , Office of the Vice Mayor Jay Mark Kevin "JM" Dela Cruz Crisostomo, Municipal Information Office - Lingayen, Pangasinan, Lingayen Tourism Office, and Civil Society Organization will be conducting a multimedia feature project named LINGAWEN: KABATAAN NG LINGAYEN INSPIRING STORIES 2026.

The Lingayen Youths possess remarkable and inspiring stories of perseverance, leadership, innovation, volunteerism, academic excellence, and community service. Lingawen, a Pangasinan word which means to look back, and from which the name “Lingayen” came. In terms of our advocacy, it means looking back at the stories behind the success of these Lingayenense youths. The stories that often remain untold despite their potential to inspire fellow young people and strengthen community pride. Their tales should be shared by resilient students and cultural preservationists, creative young entrepreneurs, and grassroots community organizers.

To recognize and promote ten inspiring stories of youth from Lingayen who have demonstrated excellence, resilience, leadership, and positive impact in their communities.

• To identify ten outstanding youth individuals with inspiring life experiences and achievements.
• To document and share their stories through various media platforms.
• To strengthen community appreciation of youth contributions to local development.

This multimedia feature project, "LINGAWEN: KABATAAN NG LINGAYEN INSPIRING STORIES" is to find, record, and share the tales of ten remarkable young people (ages 15 to 30) from different barangays in Lingayen, Pangasinan. This campaign seeks to encourage the larger Pangasinense youth to strive for excellence and active citizenship by showcasing their victories against hardship and their contributions to the community.

𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗞 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 ✅

In a significant step toward promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance, the Sangguniang Bayan of Lingayen has successfully approved the Mandatory SK Full Public Policy Disclosure Board Ordinance on its Third and Final Reading authored by Councilor and SK Federation President Hon. Carissa Joyce Tuazon.

This ordinance mandates the establishment and maintenance of a Full Public Policy Disclosure Board where all relevant SK documents, programs, projects, activities, financial reports, budgets, resolutions, and ordinances shall be publicly displayed and made accessible to the youth and the general public among thirty two (32) barangays in Lingayen.

The approval of this ordinance demonstrates the unity and collective commitment of the Sangguniang Bayan Members headed by Vice Mayor Hon. Jay Mark Kevin Crisostomo in promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance among SK Officials in the Municipality of Lingayen.

MAY 30,2026: PROJECT TAWIRAN SESSION AND ASSESSMENT DAY FOR THE YOUNG LEARNERS OF SITIO APLAYA, PANGAPISAN NORTH, LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN

Project Tawiran of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan and in partnership with the Local Government of Lingayen plays a vital role in shaping the educational landscape for young learners in the municipality, and of the whole province.

This initiative tackles the urgent problem of illiteracy among kids who are not enrolled in school m, and for who are struggling in literacy by offering assistance and resources, giving them another opportunity to develop critical reading and writing abilities.

Project Tawiran promotes a more inclusive and fair society by bridging the educational gap through literacy and values formation.

The 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙣, together with active youth volunteers, successfully conducted a
𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 on May 23 at Sitio Aplaya, Pangapisan North. This activity marks the final phase of the Lingayen Watershed Watchers Creek Clean-Up Project, a collaborative effort between YEAL and YVFL, made possible through a grant from PCAFPD. It aims to promote environmental awareness, encourage community participation, and help restore the cleanliness of waterways in our beloved municipality, Lingayen. Even with the early morning call time, the youth showed up with passion, unity, and teamwork proving that 𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.🌀🩵

This initiative was made possible through the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of YEAL, YVFL, and MENRO. Also, KUDOS to Chairperson and Co-Chairperson Ms. Nicole Reyes and Ms. Kharylle Trinidad for their hard work, commitment, and initiative in conducting thorough preparations and site visits before the event.🔥🌿
