Week 2 (May 11–14): Medical and Dental Services Report

During the second week of May (May 11–14), medical and dental services continued to deliver focused care, particularly supporting students and promoting oral health.

On the medical side, the primary activity was the issuance of medical certificates for BSBIO and BSMATH student interns, as well as aspiring DOST scholars. This process involved conducting basic medical assessments to ensure that students met the health requirements for internships and scholarship applications. The activity was carried out efficiently, with proper documentation and timely assistance provided to all applicants.

In dental services, emphasis was placed on oral prophylaxis to maintain and improve patients’ oral health. Procedures included the removal of plaque and tartar, polishing, and providing post-treatment advice on proper oral hygiene. Patients were also educated on preventive practices such as regular brushing, flossing, and routine dental visits to reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease.
