COORDINATION MEETING AND INITIAL SCHOOL SAFETY MEASURES
Personnel of the Don Jose Aguirre Fire Sub-Station, led by SFO1 Joseph T Jatico, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, actively participated in a coordination meeting with the Local Chief Executive, Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO), DepEd Manukan 1 District Supervisor, PNP, BFP Manukan Municipal Fire Station, and MDRRMO at the Mayor’s Office, Municipality of Manukan.
The meeting focused on the finalization and coordination of the exact date for the conduct of the School Safety Drill.
After thorough discussion and coordination, it was agreed that the DepEd Manukan 1 District shall determine and set the official date for the conduct of the School Safety Drill, in coordination with the concerned agencies and stakeholders.
INITIAL SAFETY MEASURES AT DON JOSE AGUIRRE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Prior to the meeting, DJA FSS personnel had already coordinated with the Don Jose Aguirre Barangay Officials, School Principal, and School DRRM Coordinator of Don Jose Aguirre National High School to identify and implement immediate safety measures within the school premises.
As an initial preventive and security measure, an early-morning surprise inspection was conducted at approximately 6:30 AM today. The activity was jointly carried out by the DJA Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanod, and BFP personnel of DJA FSS, with the primary objective of promoting a safe, secure, and disaster-resilient learning environment.
The inspection included the checking of students’ bags prior to their entry into the school premises, as part of the school’s proactive safety and security measures.
These initial measures demonstrate the collective commitment of the BFP, DepEd, Barangay Officials, and the school community to ensure the protection and welfare of students and teachers.
The DJA FSS remains committed to supporting the school and the local government in the implementation of preventive safety measures, emergency preparedness activities, and school safety drills.
