FORECAST (4PM, 08 July 2026)

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 PM today, the center of the eye of Super Typhoon "INDAY" {BAVI} was estimated based on all available data at 1,195 km East of Northern Luzon (17.0°N, 132.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h. It is moving Westward at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Visayas and Mindanao.

Forecast Weather Conditions:

Catanduanes will experience Rains with gusty winds due to STY INDAY. (Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds)

Eastern Visayas and the rest of Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to STY Inday. (Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains)

Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Palawan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and South Cotabato will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm due to Southwest Monsoon. (Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains)

The rest of Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. (Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms)

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. (Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms)

The eastern section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds from Northwest to West with moderate to rough seas.(1.2 to 2.5 meters)

The eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to strong winds from Southwest with Moderate to rough Seas. (1.2 to 3.5 meters)

Mindanao will have Moderate to strong winds from Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 m)

Palawan and the rest of Visayas will have Light to Moderate winds from West to Southwest with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 1.5 m)

The rest of Luzon will have Light to Moderate winds from Northwest to West with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 1.5 m)

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (SanFrancisco, Poro, Tudela, Pilar), (Basay, SantaCatalina, Siaton, BaisCity, CityOfTanjay, Pamplona), (Ibajay, Tangalan, Malinao, Madalag), (BacolodCity, CityOfTalisay, SilayCity, HinobaAn, Ilog, CityOfKabankalan), (Linapacan, Culion, Busuanga), (SantaCruz, Sablayan, Calintaan, Rizal and SanJose) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

The above conditions are being experienced in (CityOfBayawan), (Pandan, Sebaste, Culasi), (Cauayan, CityOfSipalay, Candoni), (Coron, ElNido, Araceli and Dumaran) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.

The MDRRMO of Linapacan is undertaking its second day of comprehensive Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis training at Sunlight Guest Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, with key participants including Municipal Mayor Hon. Emergency Operation Center Management Training in Full Swing!
From April 27-30, 2026, MDRRMO Linapacan is hosting a comprehensive EOC Management Training at the Municipal Livelihood Training Center in Linapacan, Palawan. The training brings together Barangay Chairmen, Barangay Kagawads (Committee on Disaster), Barangay Secretaries, and MDRRMO personnel to strengthen the disaster response capabilities. Special gratitude is extended to Municipal Mayor Hon. Emil Neri for his unwavering support in making this training possible, and to the expert speakers from OCD MIMAROPA and PDRRMO Palawan for sharing their invaluable knowledge and expertise.
