𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗮𝘁𝗶
A sustainable fashion concept that tells the story of Barangay Yati from its natural roots to its present a day progress and the environmental challenges that came with growth.
The name Yati originated from the “ Yati tree” which once grew abundantly in the community and became a symbol of its identity. As Yati developed into a progressive barangay, with growing businesses, markets, subdivisions, and population, environmental concerns also emerged, including increasing waste, flooding, and the gradual disappearance of its native trees.
The gown represents this transformation. Its initial form, covered with elements of weeds, waste, and flooding, reflects the environmental challenges of modern Yati. As it transforms, the Yati tree emerges, symbolizing renewal, responsibility, and hope.
This concept reminds us that true progress means growing while protecting our roots because a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.
