The Municipality of Liloan, Southern Leyte, through the Local Youth Development Office, successfully distributed educational assistance to 20 deserving ALS enrollees today. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens of our learners as they pursue their basic education equivalency.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mayor Jonna Adan for leading this distribution. Her presence and encouraging words served as a powerful reminder that the LGU is a constant partner in every student's journey toward success. Her message resonated with everyone: that no matter the hurdles of the past, the future remains wide open for those who dare to learn.

We also acknowledge the vital roles of:
✅ Ms. Maris Stella R. Naranjo (OIC-MSWDO) for the social support coordination.
✅ Ms. Giovanna Marie Lubay (ALS Teacher) for her dedication to our learners.
✅ Mr. John Wilven S. Camus (LYDO) for spearheading this youth intervention.

We encourage all Out-of-School Youth in Liloan to inquire about the ALS program. It is a flexible, inclusive, and effective way to earn your diploma. Visit the LYDO or your local ALS center today!

LOOK|| Day 1 of Special SKMT Successfully Concluded!

Liloan takes a step in youth governance! Today, March 26, the Local Youth Development Office officially kicked off the Special SK Mandatory Training (SKMT) for our newly appointed and special-elected SK Officials at the MDRRMC-EOC Function Hall.

We are deeply honored by the presence and support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jonna C. Adan, alongside Hon. John Wilben C. Chua (SB Member) and Hon. Rechel A. Niepes (PPSK President). Their leadership continues to pave the way for a more active and compliant youth sector in Liloan.

Despite the upcoming BSKE 2026, this training is vital to ensure our new leaders are fully equipped with the knowledge to serve. More importantly, this certification is the key to unlocking and utilizing the 10% SK Funds, ensuring that youth programs in every barangay continue without delay.

Also, a warm welcome to our guest participants from the Municipalities of San Francisco and Padre Burgos! 🤝

IN PHOTOS|| FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION WITH LIVE FIRE SIMULATION

On March 18, 2026 the Local Youth Development Office of LGU-Liloan, Southern Leyte in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection - Liloan Municipal Fire Station conducted Fire Safety Education with Live Fire Simulation to the Youth.

Fire incidents often peak during the summer month of March. While adults are usually the focus of fire safety, the youth represent a vital demographic that can act as "first responders" or safety advocates within their households. By providing high school students and the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) with the theoretical knowledge of fire chemistry and the practical skills to handle a fire extinguisher, we decrease community vulnerability and build a culture of preparedness.

This initiative ensures that the youth are not merely bystanders during an emergency but are equipped with the life-saving skills necessary to protect themselves and their families. Investing in their education today prevents the tragedies of tomorrow.
